Santa Run - North

The Santa Run - North is a festive trail event located at the Durham Amateur Rowing Club. Organized by Saturn Running, the event takes place along a stretch of the River Wear, offering participants views of Durham Cathedral. The course is fully signed and utilizes public footpaths.

Participants can choose between two primary distances based on a 2.5 km lap format:

  • 2.5 km (one lap)
  • 5 km (two laps)

The event provides an aid station at the start and finish of each lap, featuring a variety of drinks and snacks such as crisps, fruit, cookies, and vegan options. Venue facilities at the Durham Amateur Rowing Club include toilets, changing rooms, and an unstaffed bag drop area. Participants are advised to use pay and display parking in the city centre or nearby streets, as parking is not permitted at the rowing club itself.
