A 10th anniversary five mile chip timed cross country and Canicross in the Upper Wreake valley, featuring fields, stiles, brooks and hilly countryside. Race HQ is at Hoby & District village hall with parking and facilities.

A Peak District walking event in Buxton on 3 October 2026 with long and short routes through Axe Edge, Goyt Valley and Shining Tor. Organised by High Peak LDWA with checkpoints, refreshments and parking at the school.

A 15.2 km fell race in the Peak District with 490 m of climb, held at Curbar Primary School on 3 October 2026. Pre-entry is required and proceeds go to Curbar Primary School.

Coastal off road races from Peasholm Park, Scarborough, offering distances from 5 km to marathon along the historic Cinder Track, with water stations about every three miles and a Grim Bling medal for finishers.

Wild Run Cotswolds showcases rugged off road trails on a private estate with fully marked routes, chip timing and a family friendly supporter zone. Entries are limited to 600; choose 10K, half, marathon or the six hour 360 challenge.

A club organised 12 km fell race with about 490 m of ascent around Old Town, Hebden Bridge, including a flagged section through the private Castle Carr estate. Pre-entry is required and strict FRA kit rules apply.

A cross country meeting near Thorpe and Dovedale with a **4 3/4 mile** main race through valleys of the Dove and Manifold and a **1 1/4 mile** Mini Dash for U12s that reaches the Stepping Stones.

A junior fell running race in the Pennines for ages 6 and up. The 2 km course starts near a classic pub. Entry is available on the day.

A single-lap **5K** in Roundhay Park, Leeds, taking in the lake and a climb to the Mansion House. Multi-terrain, undulating course with chip timing, finisher medal and individual prizes; entries limited and close 28 September 2026.

Test your endurance at MacTuffX Brierley Hill in October 2026. Choose between 400m and 800m intervals in solo, double, or relay formats for a unique racing experience. This event is open to all participants aged 18 and over.

Castle Carr is a 24 km fell race in the South/West Pennines near Hebden Bridge on 4 October 2026, with about 1200 m of ascent and official FRA permit and insurance.

Set in the scenic Sence Valley Forestry Park, this flexible 6 hour event allows you to run as many 3.3 mile laps as you choose. Experience a mix of woodland trails and lakeside paths with distances ranging from 5k to ultramarathon.

Experience an undulating off road trail run through Cuerden Valley Park. Complete as many five kilometer laps as you choose within a six hour limit to earn your finisher medal.

An hourly backyard ultra at Turvey House where runners complete a 4.167-mile (6.7 km) loop each hour, with solo, pairs, 8-hour and 7-hour capped options, chip timing, aid station, first aid and prizes.

Inflatable 5K in Cheltenham on Saturday 10 October 2026 is a five kilometre obstacle course made of inflatables. Recent listings show a five star rating and 34 bookings in the past week.

A fully marked 32 mile trail run in the Cambrian Mountains, based at Camp Plas with exclusive camping and support, limited to 100 runners and a 14 hours cut off for the main route.

A 55 km circular, self navigated trail around the Forest of Dean that mixes technical single track, riverside running and ridge views. Beechenhurst is race HQ; aid stations, medical support and a separate canicross category are provided.

A rural 8.9 km race around Tideswell with 267 m of climb, passing Peters Stone and the summit of Hay Cop before returning to Bishop Pursglove Primary School. Entry fees differ for FRA members and non-members.

A 13.1 mile trail race starting and finishing at Drone Valley Brewery in Unstone, Derbyshire. The second edition follows varied forest and riverside terrain, includes one aid station, a finisher medal and a beer voucher.

A trail half marathon around Rivington starting and finishing at Rivington and Blackrod High School, organised by Chorley Women FC. Entrants should have prior half marathon experience and entry is ticketed with a T-shirt option.
