Too Cool for Pule is a fell trail race held at Marsden Cricket Club, Mount Road, Marsden (HD7 6NN). The event is UKA affiliated with a permit and associated UK Athletics insurance via the FRA. The course is a circular route starting and finishing at the cricket club and includes reservoirs, local hills and sections of the Pennine Way.

Course and race logistics

  • Distance: 5.8 miles (about 9 km)
  • Elevation gain: about 1,026 ft (approximately 313 m)
  • The route is flagged and marshalled. There are no staffed water stations on course; water is available at Race HQ and refreshments and hot food can be purchased at the finish. A cut-off is in place at CP4.
  • Minimum kit requirements include trail shoes, waterproof jacket, base layer and a foil blanket. A race brief and further event information are provided by the organiser.

Entries and categories

Pre-entry fees are £8 for FRA members and £10 for non-members. Entry on the day is allowed at higher fees. The minimum age for entry is 18. Trophy prizes are awarded across senior and veteran male and female categories, plus club prizes. Entries open 22 November 2025 and close 19 November 2026.
