Route Description

The race uses a route established in 2014. It starts on the main path opposite The Kiosk. The course turns left at the bandstand and exits Sunnyhurst Woods via the Lychgate car park, which is next to The Sunnyhurst pub. From there, runners turn right towards Waterman's Cottage, then left up a concrete path, heading towards Darwen Tower and the surrounding moors. The descent follows the same path back into the woods via the pub, with the finish line at the bandstand.

Background
