Liverpool MoRun at Croxteth Park
The Liverpool MoRun is a community running event at Croxteth Park, Liverpool, L11 1EH, that supports Movember. The event raises funds and awareness for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
Distances offered include:
- 1.5 km Mini MoRun fully race chipped for children
- 5 km one lap around the course
- 10 km two laps of the 5 km route
- Half marathon four laps plus an additional 1.1 km section
The course is a mix of path and trail and is described as flat. It is dog friendly and generally OK for buggy running, though some sections can be bumpy or muddy. The route is not suitable for wheelchairs. Marshals are positioned around the course and runners are asked to keep to the left unless directed otherwise.
Events are chip timed with the timing chip on the race bib. Race packs are collected on the morning of the event and registration is organised by race number. The event hub is located at the back of Croxteth Hall; toilets and a manned bag storage area are provided, though storage space is limited. Parking near the park is limited and there are designated parking areas off Muirhead Avenue East and Oak Lane. Disabled permit holders may use the service entrance near Croxteth Hall Lane.
Participants receive a MoRunning medal and headband, and there are prizes for categories such as fastest Mo and best dressed. Mini MoRunners receive a medal, headband, sweets and shoutouts. Merchandise including tees, vests and hats is available. Typical cutoff times are two hours for the 5 km and 10 km and three hours for the half marathon. The organiser’s refund and transfer rules apply for cancellations and distance changes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
