Open to Offas - event overview

Open to Offas takes place on 8 August 2026 in Cilcain, Flintshire. The event starts and finishes at Cilcain Village Hall (CH7 5NN, grid ref SJ176652). All routes climb the Clwydian Hills and follow sections of the Offa's Dyke Path, including Moel Famau. Longer routes continue over Moel Fenlli towards Llanarmon-yn-Ial, with return sections through wooded countryside and Loggerheads country park. Entry fees include a detailed route description, refreshments at checkpoints and finish, and a certificate. Early-bird fees: LDWA members £12, then £14 from 1 June; non-members £18, then £20 from 1 June. There is a checkpoint cut-off on the 32-mile route; participants arriving after that time must follow an alternative route. Dogs are allowed on a lead but not inside the village hall. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Participants are expected to carry an Explorer 265 or Landranger 116 map or an electronic equivalent.
