Callow Fell Race

Callow Fell Race is an AS-category fell race covering 8 km with approximately 762 m of ascent, starting near Little Stretton. The route climbs through four steep valley sections and finishes with a fast descent.

The course is only partially marked; navigational skills and local mountain knowledge are beneficial. Marshals and signage are limited. Full WFRA kit is mandatory: waterproof top and trousers with taped seams, a hat (a buff counts), gloves, compass, whistle, map, food and drink as needed, and something to carry the kit such as a bum bag or rucksack. GPS devices are not permitted for navigation.

Registration and dibber collection open at 0930hrs. Minimum entry age is over 17. Entry fees are stated as £7 online and £10 on the day, with on-the-day entries limited.

Location information is given as Ragleth Inn, Little Stretton, SY6 6RB (GR 444919 OS sheet 137). Parking at the venue is very limited; car sharing is recommended where possible. Organisers request that participants avoid obstructing Little Stretton residents and do not use pub car parks.

July the Turd is a run offering 8 miles, 16 miles and a full marathon around the Ironbridge valley. The route mixes tracks, paths and road and the event finishes at The Unicorn Inn with parking on site and finisher bling.

A 6.7 km fell race around the Stiperstones from Snailbeach with 375 m of ascent, steady climbs and mixed descents. Entries are available by pre-entry or on the evening and proceeds support local charities and Natural England.

A single lap off-road 10 km race at Wyre Forest with canicross allowed and facilities limited to toilets and water at halfway. Series entry is open until 1 May 2026 and places are limited.

A 48 mile point to point ultra from Mid Wales Art Centre to Shrewsbury following the River Severn, with four checkpoints, vegan and gluten free food options, required 4.0 mph minimum pace and a bespoke finisher medal.
