Event Overview

Peak Raid Race 3: Eastern Moors is a fell running and navigation event. It is the third race in a series of four. The event takes place in the Eastern Moors and Burbage Valley area of the Peak District.

Event Format

The event uses a three-hour score format. Competitors are given a map and must visit as many checkpoints as possible within the time limit to collect points. Participants choose their own route. The best three results from the four-race series count towards the overall league standings. The event is timed using SiTiming.

Participation and Categories

The event is open to solo runners and pairs. The minimum age is 14. There are multiple age categories for women, men, and mixed pairs. The category for a pair is based on the age of the oldest competitor. A special category exists for a parent/guardian and a junior runner (aged 14-17).

Requirements and Logistics

All competitors must carry the full FRA Mandatory Minimum Kit, including waterproof full-body cover, hat, gloves, map, compass, whistle, emergency food, and a survival bag. Kit will be checked. Dogs are not permitted. Registration opens early on the event day, with competitors assigned a start slot.
