Trail Running calendar near Burley in Wharfedale 2026-2027

Three route options radiate from Kettlewell village across the Wharfedale valley, from a 4.5 mile family walk to 17 miles with three peaks. The event is run by Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association as an annual fundraiser for the rescue..

Summer trail runs at Chopwell Woods with 5, 10 and 15 mile routes, live chip timing, canicross access and a post-run medal, buffet and drink.

A 54 mile Lake District mountain ultra linking four 3,000 foot peaks with 15,000 ft of climbing and a 24 hour limit, starting and finishing in Keswick.

An 8-hour loop event at Lyme Park where runners complete as many 5km laps as they can. The mixed-terrain course records laps, distance and time, with an aid station, bag drop and basic facilities at the start/finish.

A trail half marathon around Lyme Hall via the Gritstone Trail, Kerridge Ridge and the Macclesfield Canal with aid stations, electronic timing and a bespoke finisher medal.

Fell race in Keswick on 4 July 2027 covering 15.4 km with 960 m ascent from Keswick Cricket Club, with on day entry for adults.

Five mile countryside race from Carnforth High School on field paths, trails and canal towpath with on the night entry; proceeds support a local youth charity.

5 km fell race with 213 m climb at Stoodley Pike near Todmorden on 6 July 2027; entry on the day £5 and teams are permitted.

A 10 km fell race in the Peak District at Matlock Rugby Club on 7 July 2027 with 250 m of climb; pre-entry required and minimum age 18.

The Race for Life Pretty Muddy Newcastle will take place in Newcastle upon Tyne on Saturday 10 July 2027. You can run 5 kilometers.

Ambleside trail event on 10 July 2027 offering 100km, 55km, 23km and 14km courses with waymarked routes, tracking for the ultras and compulsory kit checks.

The Lyke Wake Challenge will take place in Osmotherley on Saturday 10 July 2027. You can run 40 miles.

A **50K** trail from Pickering to Whitby that passes eight railway stations, has 3322 ft of ascent, five checkpoints and a 13 hours completion limit; walkers allowed.
