Lyme Half Marathon

The Lyme Half Marathon takes place on 5 July 2026 at Lyme National Trust, Disley, Stockport, SK12 2NR. It is a trail half marathon that starts and finishes in the grounds of Lyme Hall and runs through surrounding Peak District terrain.

The route follows the Gritstone Trail south, traverses Kerridge Ridge and passes the White Nancy landmark before reaching Bollington. Runners then join the Macclesfield Canal for a flatter section returning to Lyme. The course is fully marked and marshalled and includes two well stocked aid stations, electronic timing and on course photographers. A bespoke finishers medal is provided, and entrants can opt to have a tree planted instead of a medal through the Trees Not Tees scheme.

Event fee for the half marathon is £36 and includes parking and entry to the park and gardens for the day. Parking is in the main car park and a bag drop tent is available at the start area. Canicross entries are not accepted. The published cut off time for the half marathon is four hours.

Hydration vests and handheld soft flasks are permitted. Because weather can be changeable, runners are advised to carry appropriate clothing. Organisers strongly advise downloading the GPX file of the route for use on a watch or mobile device since permanent markings can be altered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
