The Hero Hikes will take place in Sheffield from Tuesday 14 July 2026 to Tuesday 18 August 2026.

A 100-minute looped running event at Williams Park in Gibsonburg where laps are recorded on a 0.9 mile loop. Entry is $25 and proceeds support a local foundation; all finishers receive awards and post-run food is provided.

An 8 km night trail run at Two Creeks Conservation Area on July 18, 2026, combining singletrack, roots and a horror-themed atmosphere. Presented by The RUNEGADE Podcast, with a portion of proceeds supporting local trails.

A second annual cross country event at Seven Hills Recreation Center with a 5K and a 1-mile family walk. The course includes grass, gravel and a short wooded trail, with entertainment and midday food trucks during the Home Days Event.

A multi-distance endurance event in Cuyahoga Falls on July 25-26, 2026, featuring 100M, 50M, a marathon and an 8-person 100M relay on courses through Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

An inaugural 4 mile event on July 31, 2026 at Iron Horse Trail in Alliance, Ohio, with in-person and virtual 4 mile options. Registration runs March 28 to July 24 with a $35 fee and includes a bib, shirt, and medal.

August 2026

A Last Runner Standing trail event on a family farm in Glenmont, OH with loops through old growth timber and prairie. Free camping and parking are available and registration closes July 31, 2026.

A 5K Run and Walk on a private airfield runway in Malvern, Ohio. The course uses hard packed grass, is managed by Run to You Racing, and has registration April 1 to June 15 with a $25 fee.

A free 32 hour ultramarathon at Pointe Mouillee State Game Area near South Rockwood, Michigan, on August 7 to 8, 2026. Alternating daytime 8 mile and 4.6 mile loops with a 4 mile nighttime loop; participants carry their own aid.

Trail races of 5 and 10 miles take place on 8 August 2026 at Oak Hill Trail Head in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Registration opens in November 2025 and fees vary by distance.

A cross country 5K and a 0.5 mile kids fun run at South Range High School in Canfield Ohio with finisher medals, event shirts, and awards for top overall and age group finishers.

A roughly 203 mile out and back road run from Walnut Beach at Lake Erie to Wellsville Ohio with a six day cutoff and no official aid. Crews are allowed and a 100 mile option has a 72 hour cutoff.

Two short races at Boettler Park on August 13, 2026 organized by Summit Athletic Running Club. The 2 Mile is open to high school, middle school and open runners; awards and ribbons follow the races.

A 5K cross country race at Penitentiary Glen Reservation in Willoughby on August 18, 2026. The course mixes grass fields and crushed limestone trails, with separate races for male and female competitors and open entry for kids and adults.

A 5k (3.1 miles) mud run in Oak Harbor with 20+ obstacles offering "challenge" and "Xtreme" lines, participant medals and T-shirts, and a 10% proceeds donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Endurance race on one of Cleveland's steepest hills where runners complete as many laps as possible within 1, 3, 6, or 12 hour limits. All registrations and donations go directly to cancer patients through the Nelson Family Foundation.

September 2026

A festival-style trail event at Hemlock Creek Picnic Area with run, ruck and 1-mile options, a river crossing on the longer route, live German music and a biergarten. A portion of proceeds benefits Bike Cleveland.

A trail-based endurance event at Camp Tuscazoar in Dover, Ohio, run on a 25 mile loop with multiple distances including night options. The race features cupless aid stations, drop bag service, pacer rules, and finish awards.

Experience a unique trail race at Camp Manatoc featuring technical single track paths normally closed to the public. Run the half marathon 15k or 5k distances through wooded terrain with special permission to bring your dog along.

Trail ultramarathons of 25K and 50K around scenic Mill Creek Park in Youngstown featuring mostly single track trails, rocky and rooted terrain, a rugged stream crossing, and staffed aid stations.
