Trail Running calendar near Llandrindod Wells 2026-2027

A fell race near Pwllheli over a single 8 km route with 490 m of climb that takes in the three peaks of the Eifl. Entry on the day only costs £10 and the event is insured by the Welsh Fell Runners Association.

Raven 7 is an 11.25 km fell race with 445 m of ascent around Llanarmon yn lal, based at the Raven Inn. Entry is £5 on the day and the course is partially marked.

A long, non-commercial fell race in the Black Mountains with a 27.4 km route and 1586 m of ascent. The event uses five checkpoints, requires full navigational kit, and operates on open access land with no on-course water provided.

Teddy Bear Run in Aston Park, Birmingham brings families together for 2.5K or 5K courses, a finisher teddy, and a teddy bears picnic. Participants are invited to fundraise for Birmingham Children’s Hospital with a suggested minimum of £10.

Defeat Delamere is a community running event at Delamere Forest on 13th September 2026 offering 5k, 10k, 16k and a Junior Race with race packs, finisher medals and t shirts included.

A 12 hour Backyard Ultra on a 4.2 mile loop near Crickhowell in the Black Mountains, mixing trail and tarmac. Medals are awarded for 32 miles and trophies go to the first placed male and female on the final lap.

A multi distance triathlon in Llanberis combining lake swims, repeated open road bike laps and lake plus mountain runs on the Llanberis Path. Double and Triple entrants must use support crews for night and mountain sections.

A single-stage trail run of about 47 miles along the Cotswold Way from Chipping Campden to Painswick. The very hilly course follows public rights of way, allows 15 hours to finish, and offers GPX, support stations and medical cover.

A short beach race along Abersoch beach on 19 September 2026 that mixes hard and soft sand and several groynes. Finishers receive a zinc alloy medal and winners earn cash prizes including a course record bonus.

Approximately 102 miles along the Cotswold Way from Chipping Campden to Bath on 19–20 September 2026. Single stage trail event with live tracking, food stations, medical support and 32 hours to complete.

Trail and ruck run event at Cannock Chase Forest on 19 September 2026 offering 5 km and 10 km ruck runs with weighted packs and a solo challenge. Live chip timing, merchandise for finishers and prizes for top competitors.

A 23 mile trail event on the Quantock Hills where runners compete alongside horses, with an additional Pegasus Challenge 4 person relay. The event is in Over Stowey and organised by Equi-Librium Coaching and Therapy CIC.

A Classic AL Welsh fell race in Llanberis on 19 September 2026 that visits several Eryri summits, including Snowdon and Glyder Fawr. Options are a 28 km route with 2600 m ascent or a 14 km route with 1350 m ascent.

Fan Brycheiniog is a 15.5 km mountain race in Glyntawe with 840 m of climb. The course runs over rough tracks and open fell and requires navigation and competent mountain skills.
