The Cotswold Way Century is a single-stage trail running event covering approximately 102 miles along the Cotswold Way National Trail. The course follows a point-to-point route starting at the Village Hall in Chipping Campden and concluding in Bath. The trail utilizes public rights of way, including stone tracks, grassy paths, and sections through fields. As the route is designed to visit various viewpoints and villages, the terrain features significant elevation changes with frequent ascents and descents.
Participants navigate primarily using existing Cotswold Way markers, depicted by an acorn symbol. While organizers may provide additional markings near checkpoints, runners should rely on the permanent trail signage and the provided GPX file. The event takes place on open trails and public roads without closures, requiring participants to follow standard road regulations where necessary.
The event has a total time limit of 32 hours to complete the full distance, and intermediate cut-offs are enforced at various points along the course. Registration is open to individuals aged 21 and older.
