The mountain section is roughly 9 miles up and down the Llanberis Path. Support crews are required for the Double and Triple events; crews must not follow directly behind on the bike and must remain near the athlete on the mountain. Mandatory rules include wearing a hi-viz vest on the bike, wearing a cycle helmet, no drafting, no MP3 players, and mounting/dismounting at designated points. A detailed kit list is specified for athletes and support crews. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
