Wild Hybrid Birmingham - Cannock Chase Forest Solos

Wild Hybrid presents a hybrid fitness event at Cannock Chase Forest, Rugeley, WS15 2UQ on 19 September 2026. The event combines trail running with functional fitness stations located among the trees close to the venue centre and parking.

The venue offers trails, paths, fire roads and woodland used for the trail-running element. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. Routes are to be confirmed.

Ruck run entries require competitors to bring their own pack; packs are weighed at registration. Recommended pack weights stated by the organiser are 10 kg for men and 7 kg for women.

  • 5 km ruck run : pack required; entry price £25
  • 10 km ruck run : pack required; entry price £30
  • Wild Hybrid solo entry : entry price £60

All ruck run finishers receive Wild Hybrid merchandise and products from event sponsors. Prizes are awarded for first to third positions in each standard category. A self-navigation trail event from Parwich across limestone paths and the High Peak Trail, about 17 miles with 2,000 ft of climb, three aid stations and a collect-and-deliver Quest visiting Minninglow Hill and Harborough Rocks.

An annual off road event at Cannock Chase featuring a chip timed five mile race and a two mile fun run with medals, age and team prizes, and a cash award for course records.

A *7.5 km* mixed terrain race through the Derbyshire Dales starting and finishing at the Bell & Harp pub in Little Eaton on 18 July 2026. Chip timing, category prizes and an on site afterparty with music and food.

A multi-distance run along a disused railway between Ironbridge and Bridgnorth, offering distances from 9 miles to 37 miles with 9.4 mile laps and aid stations every 4.7 miles.
