Abersoch Coast Trail

The Abersoch Coast Trail takes place in the village of Abersoch on the Llyn Peninsula in North Wales and is part of the Abersoch Triple Crown series. The event includes several races over different distances on coastal and village routes on 19 September 2026.

The routes start alongside Cardigan Bay on Abersoch Beach and follow the coastal path past Tudwal’s Islands and Porth Ceiriad. The 20 km course continues out to Porth Neigwl and returns to finish on Abersoch Beach. Course surfaces include tracks and trails, some road sections and stretches of beach.

Event support includes drink stations along the course and at the finish, clear direction signs, marshals, medic support and professional traffic management. Timing is by ChronoChip bibtag technology and the race is affiliated to the Welsh Athletics Association, so entrants must follow Welsh Athletics rules and regulations. There is a prize fund and bespoke trophies with a total of £1,000 available.

Finishers receive a zinc alloy medal with a bespoke lanyard, recovery food and drink and a technical race t shirt. The finish area on the beach features music, a race compere, massages and a beach bar and BBQ, and some participants choose to cool off with a swim in the bay after their race.
