Trail Running calendar near Saint John's Chapel 2026-2027

The Shadwell 10k will take place in Shadwell on Saturday 20 June 2026. You can run 10 kilometers.

A 10 km trail race on Arncliffe Moor with a long climb, around 3 km on the moor and a downhill finish toward Kilnsey Crag, held from a car park field at Hawkswick Cote with drinks stations, post-race food and free parking.

A night trail of about 20 miles across the North York Moors, running from sunset to sunrise on a circular route from Goathland Village Hall. Entrants receive trackers and route files; all finishers receive a Lamplighter medal.

Traverse the scenic Cleveland Hills in this 77.3 km ultra marathon from Ingleby Cross to Robin Hood Bay. Runners have 15 hours to complete the course featuring over 1700 meters of ascent through North Yorkshire.

Gowbarrow Round is a 7.6 km fell race in the Lake District on Sat 20 Jun 2026. Entry is on the day only with a £5 fee and a minimum age of 16. The event is based at The Royal Hotel, Dockray, and carries FRA permit insurance.

A seven hour timed trail event along the River Wear in Durham with fully signed laps and multiple distance options. Finishers from 3 km receive a themed medal and there are aid tables, goody bags and distance pins.

An evening five mile trail run around Bolton Abbey Estate on the Summer Solstice, organised by Airedale Dodgers for Sue Ryder. The circular route uses tarmac, gravel and a short grass section and all finishers receive a medal.

A community fun run in Grantley, Ripon, North Yorkshire on Sunday 21 June 2026 with an entry fee of £5. Basic details only are published.

A BOFRA Championship fell race in Hawkswick, Littondale, featuring a short 2.25 km route with about 170 m of climb from ridge out-and-back terrain. Age categories run from under 9 to seniors and parking is £3.

Trail runs at Harewood House in Leeds offer 22k, 13k and 8k courses through estate parkland, woodland and around Eccup Reservoir. The event features chip timing, on-course aid and a finisher medal.

A 7 hour trail Time Challenge on Sunday 21 June 2026 in Durham along the River Wear with cathedral views. Distances range from a 3 km minimum up to marathon, 50 km and ultra, with medals, pins and goody bags for finishers.

A 11.3 km fell race around the limestone hills above Settle on 21 June 2026, with 600 m of climb and flagged routes. The event hosts the Yorkshire Senior and Under 23 Championships and is run under FRA rules.

An 11 km loop from YHA Windermere around Baystones and Wansfell with about 500 m of ascent. Held on 21 June 2026, post race refreshments are provided and all profits go to YHA Breaks.

Trail running event in Barnard Castle on 21 June 2026 offering 3.5, 9 and 15 mile marked routes along the Teesdale Way with marshals, aid stations, a five hour cut-off and on-course support.

The Fellrunner at Windy Gyle is a rugged 13.7 km test with 549 m of climb across scenic Northumberland hills on Sun 21 Jun 2026. Entry on the day is welcome with modest fees for members and non members.

A family fun run of about 2.5 km at Oakwell Hall Country Park in Birstall, West Yorkshire. The day includes stalls, a mascots race and entertainment, with proceeds supporting MoreInCommon Batley & Spen local projects.

A closed-road running and cycling event on Cragg Road in Mytholmroyd featuring timed runs from 5K to 10 mile, a one-mile memorial race, a 60K marked sportive, a cycle ascent with summit clock, and a cycle time trial.

An 8.8 km fell race near Haweswater in the Lake District with 244 m of climb, open to runners aged 16 and over. Entry is on the day for £5 and the race is part of the Bampton Village Sports Day and Fete.

A Category AS fell race of 4 miles / 6.4 km with 350 m ascent around Punstock Road green in Darwen, featuring three climbs including Jacob’s Mound and Aggies Staircase and a looped route returning past Robin Hoods cottage.

A Category AS fell race of 7.5 km with 375 m ascent around Todmorden, based at The Hare and Hound pub. Minimum age 16, full FRA kit required; refreshments and prize giving are held in the pub.
