Saturn 7 Hour Time Challenge - Gilesgate

SATURN - Lord of The Run - North

This is a 7 hour timed running event held on Sunday 21 June 2026 in Durham at Durham Amateur Rowing Club, Green Lane, Old Elvet, Durham DH1 3JU. The course follows a stretch of the River Wear, is classified as a trail run and is fully signed. The route offers views of the Cathedral and uses public footpaths; other path users should be considered.

The event has a minimum recorded distance and a lap structure with turn points to support shorter distances and age-restricted entries. Walkers are permitted. Completing at least 3 km qualifies a participant as an official finisher and earns a themed medal. Distance pins are issued for half-marathon, mega-half, marathon, 50 km and ultra achievements. Finishers receive a goody bag; a vegan goody bag option is available.

An aid and drinks table is provided at the start/finish of each lap with a selection of drinks and snacks, including vegan options. Race HQ provides toilets and changing facilities. A bag drop area is available but is unstaffed and items are left at the participant’s own risk. Headphones are allowed. Nearby free on-street and pay and display city centre parking are available.
