SATURN - Lord of The Run - North
This is a seven hour timed trail event held along a stretch of the River Wear in Durham with views of the Cathedral. The course is fully signed and runs on public footpaths. Participants may run or walk multiple laps; navigational experience is not required.
Location is Durham Amateur Rowing Club, Green Lane, Old Elvet, Durham DH1 3JU. Entry is limited to 300 runners and entries close on 20/06/2026. The minimum age to enter is 12 years. Anyone running more than 45 km must be at least 20 years old; 18 and 19 year olds may run up to 45 km only.
Distances and lap details:
- Minimum distance 3 km, part of a lap.
- Full lap 7 km (4.37 miles).
- Lap may change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions.
- Half marathon 3 laps, marathon 6 laps, 50 km and ultra options available.
Facilities and services include toilets and changing at race HQ, a bag area left at participant risk, and nearby on-street or pay and display parking. Aid and drinks tables are available at the start and finish of each lap with sweet and savoury snacks and vegan options. Finishers of 3 km or more receive a themed medal; distance pins and vegan goody bags are also available. Transfers and deferrals are allowed subject to fees and conditions.
