Lord of The Run - North is organised by Saturn Running and takes place at Durham Amateur Rowing Club, Green Ln, Old Elvet, Durham DH1 3JU on 21 June 2026. The event is a timed challenge held on signed trail paths along the River Wear with views of the Cathedral. The course is fully signed and uses public footpaths.

Format and distances

The main format is a 7 hour Time Challenge that lets participants choose how many laps to run. The minimum official finishing distance is 3 km. A full lap is listed as 4.37 miles (about 7 km), but may change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. Turn points at 3 km and 5 km are provided within the lap. Services and rules

Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a themed medal; distance pins are awarded for half-marathon and longer distances. Finishers receive a goody bag with a vegan option. Aid and drinks tables are located at the start/finish of each lap with snack options, including vegan choices. Toilets and changing facilities are available at the race HQ. A bag drop is provided but is unstaffed and left at participants' own risk. Headphones are allowed. Listed entry prices range from £18 to £29; a £17 member entry option is mentioned.
