RunForJo 2026 is a family fun run of approximately 2.5 kilometres. It takes place at Oakwell Hall and Country Park in Birstall, West Yorkshire.

Event Information

The event is described as the tenth and final RunForJo, held to celebrate the life and values of Jo Cox. The course is multi-terrain and undulating, consisting of a single lap. It is not suitable for wheelchairs.

Facilities provided on site include water stations, distance markers, toilets, and a baggage store. The baggage store is not supervised. There are no changing facilities or showers. The race headquarters is located opposite Oakwell Hall within the country park.

Participation

Entry is limited to 150 participants, with entry on the day not available. Entry must be completed in advance. The entry fee is £10.00. Under 11s must stay with a responsible adult at all times during the event.

Other Activities

In addition to the run, the event features food stalls, a bar, and entertainment. A Mascots' Race is scheduled. Fancy dress is optional but encouraged, with prizes available. A 23 mile single-lap trail from Guiseley across Rombalds Moor and Ilkley Moor via Ilkley and Otley Chevin. The hilly, moorland course has water stations, limited facilities and an entry limit of 550 which is currently reached.
