The route follows several distinct geographical features of the estate. Participants navigate winding tracks through Wall Side Plantation and ascend toward Sugar Hill, which provides elevated views of the grounds. The path passes near the filming sets of the television show Emmerdale and arrives at Eccup Reservoir, the largest body of water in the region. This area is known for its biodiversity, including various plant species and rare birds.
The return section of the trail leads through Carr Plantation and Piper Wood. These segments are characterized by large trees and native flora.
