West Yorkshire Trail Run at Harewood House

The West Yorkshire Trail Run takes place within more than 100 acres of the Harewood House estate, combining landscaped grounds, rolling parkland and woodland trails. Routes pass lakeside areas and viewpoints across the estate.

The course follows Wall Side Plantation and climbs gently to Sugar Hill, then continues near the Emmerdale television set. Runners pass the Eccup Reservoir, the largest body of water in West Yorkshire, noted for its wildlife and open views. The return sections run through Carr Plantation and Piper Wood, with sections of forest trail and a final lakeside approach to the finish.

Entries include chip timing, a high-quality metal finisher medal, a finisher goodie and a refreshing drink, plus a personalised certificate. On-course support comprises first aid cover, water stations and marshals. The event is signed using pink arrows and pink tape, and hazards or road junctions are marked with caution signs. The organiser operates a plastic-free policy and asks participants to bring a reusable cup or bottle.
