West Yorkshire Trail Run
The West Yorkshire Trail Run takes place on the Harewood House estate in Leeds. The route runs through more than 100 acres of landscaped grounds, rolling parkland and woodland around an 18th century house and estate.
The course follows Wall Side Plantation and climbs gently to Sugar Hill. Runners pass near the Emmerdale set and circle the Eccup Reservoir, the largest body of water in West Yorkshire. The return route goes through Carr Plantation and Piper Wood and passes a lakeside section before finishing at the estate event area.
Entries include chip timing, a metal finisher medal, a finisher goodie, a personalised certificate, on-course refreshments, water stations, first aid cover and marshals. The course is marked with pink arrows and tape; hazards and road junctions are signed as Caution. Spectators are welcome and dogs are not allowed.
Recommended items mentioned for the event include a mobile phone, a reusable cup or bottle, food and drink for the race, and a rain jacket.
