Moors Traverse 2027 is an 80 km coast to coast ultra on 4 April following Wainwrights route from Ingleby Cross to Robin Hoods Bay. The event emphasises self sufficiency and crosses the northern edge of the North York Moors.

An official backyard ultra at West Benridge Farm featuring a repeating 4.167 mile loop completed each hour, plus a festival-style HQ with DJs, food and coffee as the race continues until one Last Standing remains.

Trail event along the Cleveland Way from Skinningrove to the Charm Bracelet sculpture and Saltburn. The route is 7.4 miles with 890 ft elevation, welcomes runners and walkers aged over 15, and includes a medal plus checkpoint snacks.

Trail running in Hawkshead with marked 10 km and 16 km routes, scenic Lake District views and the steep Coffin Trail climb. Courses are marshalled with water stations, event village facilities and category prizes for eligible starters.

The Lake District Running Festival will take place in Keswick on Saturday 10 April 2027. You can run between 23 and 53 kilometers.

A coastal trail half marathon from Redcar to Staithes covering 14.35 miles with varied terrain, 1591 ft of ascent and a five hour limit. Two aid stations, a finishers medal and category trophies are provided.

A coastal trail marathon from Redcar Beach Base to Whitby on 11 April 2027. The route is listed as 26.57 miles with 3,263 ft of ascent, varied underfoot conditions and a 10 hour cutoff that accommodates walkers.

A self navigated ~37 mile running and walking challenge around Goathland visiting five Triangulation Pillars, open to solos and pairs with supplied maps, checkpoints and a 15 hour completion limit.

A new 10km trail run around Bamburgh Castle and the beach on the Northumberland coast. The Saturday event features live chip timing, allows one dog per runner, and includes finisher medals and on-site parking.

Beyond Newcastle runs from the Quayside in Newcastle offering fully supported 55 km and 25 km trail routes that follow the Tyne and Derwent rivers with marshals, feed stations and live chip timing. Finishers receive a medal and merchandise.

A canicross event in Dodd Wood with fully marked forest courses and views over Bassenthwaite Lake. Options of an 8K or 5K loop, chip timed, and allows two dogs per runner on mainly wide trails.

Final Lakeland Paws Season 5 event at Whinlatter with two fully marked trail routes, chip timed, dog friendly options and season prize giving.

May 2027

A 36 mile tracked ultra with 4,487 ft of ascent on a circular route from Glaisdale along the Esk Valley Walk. Five checkpoints, finishers medal, water and snacks are included and trophies are awarded in multiple categories.

Trail running at Staveley, Cumbria with 5 km, 10 km and half marathon routes on marked, marshalled trails, varied terrain and an event village offering music, food and merchandise.

A 90K UTMB Index 100K ultra along the historic Pilgrim Way from North Queensferry to St Andrews Cathedral. The fully marked route crosses towns such as Dunfermline and Ceres, includes 1,200 m of ascent and GPS tracking.

An evening trail event at Gibside National Trust across wooded and garden landscape with 5km and 10km options, live chip timing, Canicross welcome, finishers' medal and onsite parking.

A fully signposted 47-mile / 75 km ultra around Lake Windermere with live GPS tracking, six feed stations and a halfway shoe-bag service. Entry includes a waterproof map, a wooden finisher medal and a finishers meal.

A 5 km obstacle event at Beveridge Park, Kirkcaldy, on 9 May 2027. The grass-start course loops through parkland with steep hills and obstacles; participants must be 13 or older and a minimum fundraising target applies.

Hardmoors White Horse at Sutton Bank on 9 May 2027 offers three trail distances with published ascent and time limits. Competitors must carry mandatory kit, navigate with supplied maps and GPX files, and use their own cup at checkpoints.

Trail runs at Derwent Reservoir feature 5 mile and 10 mile routes around the reservoir on mixed terrain. The 10 mile includes closed road sections; live chip timing is used and finishers receive a medal, merchandise, snack and drink.
