Trail Running calendar near Lydford 2026-2027

5 mile mixed terrain run around Restormel Castle in Lostwithiel, about 90% on trails with over 1000 ft of elevation. Part of the Cornwall MTRS, the event is cupless and donates a portion of entry fees to Mind Cornwall.

A 20 mile trail run or hike in South Devon starting and finishing at Broadsands Beach in Torbay. The route goes inland to Kingswear then along the South West Coast Path with about 4000 ft ascent, three aid stations and a cupless policy.

A 10 mile multi terrain race in Colyton on 11 October 2026, mostly off road and following the River Coly, Ox Woods and Morganshayes. Two cupless water stations, a 3 hour cut off, finishers medal and age category prizes.

A seven hour Time Challenge at Dare Valley Country Park offering distances from 3km to 50km, themed finisher medals and distance pins, on course aid with vegan options, and basic venue facilities including toilets and free parking.

Three multi terrain trail runs near Honiton, East Devon on 18 October 2026. Routes of 10 km, 5 km and 3 km feature hills, mud and river crossings, with refreshments sold at the village hall.

Trail races at Oxwich Bay with a self-navigated half marathon plus marked 10k and 5k routes. The event is postponed and a new date will be announced.

A coastal endurance format at Perranporth that runs for 12 hours plus one rounds on three to four mile loops. Time targets are revealed at each round and failing a requirement leads to elimination.

Day one of a two day mountain marathon at Westermill Farm, Exford, featuring a 40 km course with 1800 m of climb. Teams of two must pre-enter and the entry fee covers both race days and campsite.

A two-day obstacle weekend at Scorrier House Estate with 10 km, 5 km, 2.5 km and dog-friendly K9 routes, featuring mud, water and designed obstacles; finishers receive a medal and event photos.

Mendip Muddle is a 20 km multi terrain fell race in Somerset with about 420 m of climbing. Headquarters are at Charter House Outdoor Activity Centre; on course water and first aid are provided and prizes are awarded by category.

Routes along the Grand Western Canal in Tiverton include Marathon, Half Marathon and 10k options on hard packed gravel towpaths. The event is cupless so runners must carry their own water and finishers receive a bespoke medal.

An evening trail event at Haldon Forest Park on 30 October 2026 offering a 2.5 km fun run plus 5 km and 10 km running and canicross options, free race photography and a Halloween 2025 medal for each finisher.

Spooky Challenge Day 1 on 31 October 2026 in Bridestowe is an 8 hour timed off road and paved event on an out and back route along an old train line. Laps are 5.3 km, entries limited and minimum age is 18.

Trail races around Roadford Lake organised by Sportiva Events. Distances include 10K and half marathon with canicross options. Entries include chip timing, feed station, medal, refreshments and category prizes.

November 2026

An off road ultramarathon from Maiden Newton of about 35.9 miles with roughly 1,300 m of ascent, passing hillforts and coastal views. Six aid stations offer water and cake, GPX files and maps are provided for navigation.

A chip-timed marathon on Sunday 1 November 2026, starting and finishing in Pensilva and passing landmarks such as Golitha Falls, Colliford Lake and Jamaica Inn. Minimum age 18; entries are limited to 475.

An evening event at Scorrier House on 1 November 2026 with 2.5 km, 5 km and 10 km races plus canicross; timed by ST App Service with medals, awards, photography and on-site food and music.

A series of self-navigated trail events along the North Devon coast and Exmoor, offering five distances from 38 km to 110 miles with GPS tracking, varied coastal terrain and official ITRA/UTMB index points for some races.

Trail races at Oxwich Bay on 7 November 2026 with 10K, half, marathon and ultra routes across cliff tops, dunes and beaches. Part of the Endurancelife 2026-2027 season and included on the Season Leader Board.

A point to point trail race on the Cornish Coast Path on 7 November 2026, with a 26.2 mile marathon and a 35 mile ultra that visits three lighthouses and includes significant elevation gain.
