Stockland Scamper 2026
The Stockland Scamper is a multi-terrain running event held in the countryside of Stockland, near Honiton in East Devon. Organised by Ruby Red Running in partnership with the Stockland Primary Academy PTA, the event features three distinct routes that utilize the local landscape of hills, fields, and lanes. The event headquarters is located at the Stockland Village Hall.
Participants can choose from three distances:
- 10 km Stockland Scamper: A physical multi-terrain course involving hills, mud, and river crossings.
- 5 km Stockland Scuttle: A shorter version of the main route that maintains the hilly and muddy characteristics.
- 3 km Stockland Scurry: A route primarily through open fields with less significant elevation.
Event facilities at the village hall include toilets, a bag drop area, and a water station. Homemade refreshments and cakes provided by the PTA are available for purchase. Parking is located at the headquarters and nearby, with some spaces requiring a walk of up to ten minutes. Trail shoes are highly recommended for all participants due to the likelihood of slippery and muddy conditions. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules.
Age requirements apply depending on the distance: 16 years or over for the 10 km, 12 years or over for the 5 km, and no age restriction for the 3 km. Spectators are permitted along the lanes and footpaths, provided they remain mindful of livestock and local farm boundaries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
