Saturn Running - Scare Bear Run 2026, Dare Valley Country Park

The event is a 7 hour Time Challenge at Dare Valley Country Park, Aberdare. Runners choose how many laps to complete; the minimum official finisher distance is 3 km. A full lap is listed as 4.37 miles (about 7 km) but the loop may be changed to a 3.28 mile course depending on conditions. The lap includes 3 km and 5 km turn points to help younger runners meet UK Athletics distance rules.

Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a themed medal. All finishers receive a goody bag; a vegan goody bag option is also available.

An aid and drinks table is provided at the start/finish of each lap with drinks and snacks, including vegan options and ice cream. Venue facilities include toilets and a cafe; there are no dedicated changing rooms or showers. Free parking is available. A bag drop is provided but is not secure. Bone conducting headphones only are permitted. Events take place on public footpaths so runners should be considerate of other users.
