The ColyTEN

The ColyTEN is a 10 mile multi terrain race held in Colyton on 11 October 2026. The course is approximately 80% off road and starts beside the River Coly before returning to finish at the Peace Memorial Playing Fields near Colyton Football Club.

The route includes an initial footpath along the river, a short road section to Chantry Bridge, a river crossing and a steep ascent through Ox Woods. After a short descent down Jobbles Lane, runners follow the undulating woodland paths of Morganshayes with a couple of steep climbs and another short road section. The final section is mostly downhill or flat, with about one mile on road, and finishes with a lap of the playing field.

There are two cupless water stations at about 2.5 and 7.5 miles. A 3 hour cut off time is enforced. Race numbers must be pinned to the front of the vest with personal details completed on the reverse. On site toilet facilities and bag drop are available. Limited parking is available on site, in Colyton town centre, and in a field opposite Shiphay Farm which is about a 10 minute walk from Race HQ. No headphones are allowed on the run and dogs are not permitted at Race HQ.

Finishers receive a medal, drink and flapjack. Prizes include the Phil Bayliss memorial trophies for first male and female and awards for multiple age categories. A donation will be made to Devon Air Ambulance. The event is organised by Axe Valley Runners in association with Colyton Football Club.
