The Tor Mile is a fell running event organised by Ramsbottom Running Club on Monday 29 June 2026 in Helmshore. It features a junior race and the Tor Mile Fell Race with registration at The Loom Cafe & Bar.

July 2026

Gategill Fell Race on Wed 1 Jul 2026 in the Lake District is a short steep 3.6 km climb that tests hill running and grit. On the day entries only, wear grippy shoes and enjoy refreshments as proceeds support the local community.

A mountain fell race on 1 July 2026 from Ribblehead to the top of Whernside. The 10.5 km route climbs about 468 m, follows the old hikers route and the Three Peaks walkers path back to The Station Inn.

A traditional parish boundary run and walk around Patterdale with four route options from a 28 mile full boundary to a family downhill minibeat. Entry fees support Patterdale C of E Primary School and St Patrick's Church.

An upland trail race from Muker to Tan Hill covering about 31.7 km with nearly 3,000 ft of ascent. The route follows Coast to Coast and Pennine Way sections, includes staffed aid stations, mandatory kit checks and a 200 runner limit.

A 16 kilometre (10 mile) loop near Muker following the second half of the DR30 route, ascending Swinner Gill and returning along the River Swale. Aid stations, GPX route and a hot finishers meal are provided.

A memorial fell race from Loweswater Village Hall across the Buttermere fells with long and short AL category courses. The tops are unflagged, full FRA kit is mandatory and navigation experience is required.

Take on the Fellrunner at Heptonstall Festival, a scenic 9.5 km fell race with about 500 m of climb in the South West Pennines. Finish to live music, food stalls and a free pint; entry on the day £7.

A two-day mountain navigation event in the Lake District for teams of two, held 4 to 5 July 2026 with seven courses and an overnight camp. Competitors must carry required camping and safety kit and be competent with map and compass.

A self navigated mountain trail event following about 37 miles of the Pennine Way between Bowlees and Alston YHA, featuring waterfalls, reservoirs and high tops including Crossfell. The event includes transfer bus and limited places.

A low-key fell race at the Oakworth gala featuring a 9 km route with 250 m climb, stalls and children’s fun races. Entries cost £5 and the minimum age on race day is 18.

A short fell race at the Lothersdale Show on 4 July 2026, covering 2.4 km with 122 m ascent on a new course that avoids the village road. On-the-day entry is available for £2 plus a small showfield charge.

Looped trail event in Masham on 5 July 2026 offering 3 hour and 6 hour options where runners complete as many laps as they can within the time limit. Trail and road terrain, feed stations, marshals, a bespoke medal and post race treats.

A 24 km fell race from Garrigill that takes in the summit of Cross Fell and the source of the River Tees. The event is marshalled, run under FRA rules and raises funds for the local air ambulance and village hall.

Experience a traditional Lakeland gala race featuring a steep 2.3 km course with 300 meters of ascent. This event offers technical fell running for both seniors and juniors at the New Dungeon Ghyll Gala Field.

Fell race on 5 July 2026 around Skiddaw in the Lake District, based at Keswick Cricket Club. The course is 15.4 km with 960 m of ascent and entry on the day is accepted for a fee of £10.

A trail running event at Dunsop Bridge on 5 July 2026 with fully signed 10K and 15K routes, chip timing and aid stations. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and technical t shirt; medical support and parking are included.

A muddy 5k obstacle event at Bitts Park in Carlisle where participants climb, crawl and slide around a mainly flat course. Open to ages 13 and over and organised by Cancer Research UK to raise funds for research.

A short fell race to Stoodley Pike in Todmorden covering 5 km with 213 m of ascent. Part of Todmorden Harriers Summer Series, entry on the night is £5 and proceeds support local causes.

A five mile country route around Carnforth on field paths, trails and a canal towpath. Entry is on the night only with a £10 fee and all profits support the Kent Estuary Youth Project.
