Trail Running calendar near Lifton 2026-2027

A winter 2026/27 night trail series across Somerset with four events and both 5km and 10km route options. Runners can enter individual events or the full series and order a bespoke wooden finisher's medal for each race.

A ten mile cross country race around Castle Drogo with hilly, muddy terrain, Teign valley views and the steep Hunter's Path. The BM course climbs 1760 ft and includes water stations and event shirts.

A six hour timed event at Dartington Hall with repeat 5 km laps and a canicross option. Mixed terrain, on-site catering and chip timing; proceeds support a new playground.

An evening trail at Dartington Hall with 10K and 5K single-lap courses, 1K and 2K kids races, and canicross. Green Table will host registration and refreshments while the event raises funds for a new childrens playground.

A coastal multi-lap event in Fowey based on an 8 km mixed trail and road lap, offering 8, 16, 24, 32 km options and a four-person relay, timed by ST App Service with finishers' medals and male and female awards.

An off road hill race around Brent Knoll in Somerset on 22 November 2026, roughly 6 miles with a steep summit climb and muddy trails. Facilities at the BASC sportsground include parking, toilets, refreshments and a limited bag drop.

An eight hour timed event near Exmouth with 5.3 km out and back laps on a tarmac route along an old train line. Flexible on day starts, a mix of medals for finishers and a maximum of 75 entrants.

Trail race at Mothecombe on the Erme Estuary with an 8.5 mile classic and a half marathon option. The course includes estuary crossings, woodland and coastal sections; a head torch is mandatory.

An 8 hour timed road event on 29 November 2026 near Littleham, Exmouth, with 5.3 km laps on a tarmac out and back course along a disused train line. The TUGG system allows flexible starts and medals are awarded for laps completed.

The final race of the 2026 RTT Series takes place in Afan Forest with separate 5 km and 10 km routes from Bryn Bettws Lodge. The event features chip timing, finisher medals, marked and marshalled routes and water stations.

December 2026

Fordh Sen Mighal is an 11-mile trail race from Lelant to Marazion on the Cornish coast. The point-to-point route follows a scenic European cultural path. Parking is at the finish, with a bus service available near the start.

A Christmas themed Santa run at Siblyback Lake on 5 December 2026 with canicross options, three distances, medals for all and awards for top finishers. Timed results use the ST App Service and free race photography is provided.

A festive *10k* trail race in Cockington Country Park near Torquay with hilly, winding trails and countryside views. Finishers receive a bespoke metal medal and a choice of Christmas cake, mince pie or yule log.

A festive coastal trail event in Newquay offering 8-mile Pisky, 15-mile Long Half and a 30-mile ultramarathon with GPS tracking for longer routes and a mandatory safety kit requirement.

A trail half marathon near Bridgend on 19 December 2026 combining an 8-mile mixed-terrain section with about 5 extra muddy miles, limited to 70 entrants, with a bespoke medal, refreshments and a prize for Christmas fancy dress.

A free, untimed community run along the canal between Bridgwater and Taunton with 14 and 7.5 mile options. Registration is required and basic medical cover will be available.

A community fun run in Salcombe on New Year’s Eve that loops around Snape’s Point over roughly 7 km. The event supports Salcombe RNLI and shows an entry price of £10.

A trail 10 km race in Sidmouth on 31 December 2026 following coastal paths and a loop around Mutters Moor, finishing at Connaught Gardens. Age limit 18 plus, trail shoes mandatory, two hour cutoff and medals for all finishers.

January 2027

An 8 hour timed road event on Friday 1 January 2027 in Exmouth with 5.3 km tarmac laps on a former train line, flexible arrival, a single cut-off time, capped at 100 entrants and medals for finishers.

Trail races from 10K to Ultra start on Polzeath beach and follow miles of unspoilt north Cornwall coast across trail, sand, rock and grass. The event features significant ascent, electronic timing and is part of the season leaderboard.
