Dark Skies Series
The Dark Skies Series for winter 2026/27 is a night trail running series in Somerset made up of four events. Each event offers two distance options on marked trail routes held at established outdoor locations. Entrants can choose individual events or a series booking that covers all four races.
Each event includes these route choices:
- 5 km
- 10 km
The four scheduled events and locations are Moonlit Meadow Run at Longrun Meadow, Taunton on 14 November 2026; Storm The Fort at Brean Down, Brean on 16 January 2027; a second Moonlit Meadow Run at Longrun Meadow, Taunton on 6 February 2027; and Mendip Aurora at Mendip Activity Centre, Churchill on 20 March 2027.
All entrants have the opportunity to order a bespoke wooden finisher's medal prior to the events, with the possibility of collecting one for each event. Individual event entry prices are listed at £21 per race and series bookings for the set of four races are shown at £80.
