Dark Skies Series

The Dark Skies Series is a winter night trail running series organised by Channel Events. The 2025/26 programme includes three events across Somerset. Each event offers the following route options:

  • 5 km
  • 10 km

Entrants can enter the full three-event series or individual events. Participants have the opportunity to order a bespoke wooden finisher's medal for each event.

The 2025/26 dates and venues are:

  • Mendip Aurora : Mendip Activity Centre, Churchill : 1 November 2025
  • Storm The Fort : Brean Down, Brean : 17 January 2026
  • Moonlit Meadow Run : Longrun Meadow, Taunton : 7 February 2026

Tackle scenic mixed terrain around Cosmeston Lakes in the CF64 Winter Race, a 6.4 mile off road challenge through woodland, meadows and trails. Join fellow runners on Sunday 18 January 2026 for a spirited winter test of fitness.

Explore Bath's lit Two Tunnels on a unique shared use course, with distances from 500 m fun runs to half marathon routes on tarmac and trail. Wave starts, on course support and a charity donation make this a feel good racing day.
