Dark Skies Series
The Dark Skies Series is a winter 2026/27 night trail running series held across Somerset. For this edition a rescheduled Moonlit Meadow Run is included, making the programme four events in total.
The series comprises four night trail events at named locations and dates: Moonlit Meadow Run at Longrun Meadow, Taunton on 14 November 2026; Storm The Fort at Brean Down, Brean on 16 January 2027; a second Moonlit Meadow Run at Longrun Meadow, Taunton on 6 February 2027; and Mendip Aurora at Mendip Activity Centre, Churchill on 20 March 2027.
Each event offers two distance options:
- 5 km
- 10 km
Entrants may book individual events or the whole series. Individual event entries are listed at £21.00 and series bookings are shown at £80.00 for the set of four races in a distance category. All entrants have the opportunity to order a bespoke wooden finisher’s medal before the event and may collect up to four medals across the series.
