Trail Running calendar near Holme Pierrepont 2026-2027

Wild Run Cotswolds showcases rugged off road trails on a private estate with fully marked routes, chip timing and a family friendly supporter zone. Entries are limited to 600; choose 10K, half, marathon or the six hour 360 challenge.

A club organised 12 km fell race with about 490 m of ascent around Old Town, Hebden Bridge, including a flagged section through the private Castle Carr estate. Pre-entry is required and strict FRA kit rules apply.

A cross country race around Thorpe in the Dovedale valleys, featuring a 4 3/4 mile route with a river crossing at the Stepping Stones. A 1 1/4 mile Mini Dash is held for under 12s with U12 and U9 categories.

A MacTuffX functional fitness race in Brierley Hill on 4 October 2026 combining ten Xercises with repeated runs in solo, doubles or relay formats. Standard and LITE weight divisions are available with individual and team entries.

Castle Carr is a 24 km fell race in the South/West Pennines near Hebden Bridge on 4 October 2026, with about 1200 m of ascent and official FRA permit and insurance.

A headtorch trail event at Swinsty Moor Car Park offering a half marathon, 10 km and 5 km around Swinsty and Fewston reservoirs, with water stations, pay-and-display parking, and a finisher medal for every participant.

A six hour multi-lap off road event at Sence Valley Forest Park where participants complete 3.3 mile laps at their own pace, with canicross allowed and options for a medal or tree token.

A backyard ultra at Turvey House where runners complete a 4.167 mile (6.7 km) loop each hour; failing to start a loop on the hour means elimination. Entries include solo, paired teams alternating loops, and an 8 hour day cap.

A mainly off-road 8.9 km race with 267 m of ascent around Tideswell and Litton, passing Peters Stone and the trig point at Hay Cop before finishing at Bishop Pursglove Primary School.

A 13.1 mile trail race around Drone Valley Brewery in Unstone with varied terrain, about 1,700 feet of ascent, one halfway aid station, a finisher medal and a voucher for a pint or non alcoholic drink.

Experience an off road run through the scenic pathways of Rivington starting and finishing at Rivington and Blackrod High School. This trail event is designed for runners with previous half marathon experience.

A multi terrain trail event at Endcliffe Park featuring a 10k trail and a 2.5k children's fun run. The event attracts over 1,000 runners annually and uses grass, paved paths and woodland trails.

Trail races in Cannock Chase Forest on 11 October 2026 offering Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and a Junior Race with chip timing, a themed medal, free photos and a serviced event village.

Withins Skyline on 11 October 2026 is a 6.2 mile fell race around Penistone Hill Country Park, including Top Withins and Bronte Bridge. Junior races include goody bags and Halloween themed fancy dress prizes.

An off road half marathon around the Goyt Valley with about 760 m of climb, marked junctions and required full fell kit. Two water points and hot food at the finish, held in aid of Buxton Rotary.

Grafham Water Trail Races on Sunday 11 October 2026 feature fully marked trail races from Marlow Park with 10k and half marathon options, water stations, on-course first aid, medals for finishers and prizes for top males and females.

Canicross at Pennington Flash Country Park on 11 October 2026, with scenic mostly-flat trails, two distance options, on-course marshals, and on-site facilities including parking and a café.

A lapped run at Burrs Country Park on 11 October 2026 offering 3.28 mile laps within a seven hour time limit. The event supports The Sunnywood Project and the first 50 entries receive vegan biryani and a medal.
