A one lap 10K trail run through Garendon Park on Sunday 26 July 2026, featuring mixed open and wooded paths with some gentle climbs. Entries are limited to 400 and early bird pricing runs until 31 January 2026.

This 14 km fell run in the Yorkshire Dales starts from historic Bolton Castle. The route includes 305 metres of climb and welcomes teams. Records show a fast, competitive history for this FRA-permitted event.

Test your endurance at MacTuffX Sheffield with a variety of interval based running events. Choose between solo, doubles, or relay formats featuring repeated 400m or 800m distances in this summer competition.

A 5k obstacle event at Central Forest Park, Stoke On Trent on 26 July 2026 where participants climb, crawl and slide around a mixed-surface course. Entry includes a fundraising pack, back sign, training support and a finishers medal.

Tackle the Hameldon Quarry Race on 28 July 2026 in Hapton, Burnley, a lively 6.5 km trail with about 400 m of climb through Bowland terrain. Day entry only, low fees and team categories make it ideal for a spontaneous challenge.

The Wizard 5 is a multi terrain 5 mile race around Alderley Edge, Nether Alderley and Hare Hill. The race follows a traditional woodland and field route and is organised by Wilmslow Running Club with proceeds donated to charity.

Tackle the Fellrunner at Lee Mill Quarry, a 10km fell race with 332 m climb, offering steep scenic trails and a tough workout. Entry on the day and teams welcome make this a lively opener for the Rossendale mid week series.

A 6.4 km fell race near Llangollen with 289 m of climb and partial course marking. Entry on the day only for £5 and there are no toilet facilities because the café is closed.

The Woodham Burn 5k will take place in Newton Aycliffe on Wednesday 29 July 2026. You can run 5 kilometers.

Ambleside Sports features a BOFRA fell race at Rydal Park on 30 July 2026. The 1.70 miles (2.70 km) course climbs about 800 feet along bracken paths to a rocky summit and counts for the BOFRA championship.

Pop up summer running event in Skipton with 5k and 10k options, on-site registration and refreshments; pay-on-the-day places are available.

Join the Heart Of The Lakes Rydal Round, a scenic Lake District fell run of 9 miles with 915 m climb around Rydal Park. Entry is on the day and the race opens Ambleside Sports; sports field admission applies.

August 2026

A women only 50 km ultra in West Yorkshire via Hebden Bridge and Haworth, featuring 5,000 feet of ascent, vegan friendly checkpoints about every 6 miles, trackers and downloadable event photos. Registration at Wadsworth Community Centre.

A trail run and challenge walk in Hartington, Peak District, with two routes of about 26 miles and 15 miles. Routes use GPX and written guides, have checkpoints with aid stations, and require mandatory navigation and safety kit.

A **36 miles** ultra following the Esk Valley Way from Castleton to Whitby Harbour, fully way marked and GPS tracked, with staffed checkpoints, medical support and options for coach or train return.

A 24 mile walk or run on Saturday 1 August 2026 starting and finishing at Heath Rugby Club near Halifax, following footpaths, woods and canal stretches, with checkpoints, refreshments and a finish meal.

A trail backyard ultra at Hollinwood Scout Camp near Manchester where runners complete hourly off-road loops until one competitor remains; field capped at 100, with prize money and bonuses for 100 miles plus.

A fell race held within the Osmotherley Show in North Yorkshire on 1 August 2026, covering 8.8 km with 320 m of climb. Entry is open to runners aged 16 and over with day registration and show admission required.

Borrowdale Fell Race on 1 Aug 2026 is a Lake District fell race of 27 km with about 2000 m ascent based at Rosthwaite village. Pre-entry is required, the fee is £16, teams of three are allowed and minimum age is 18.

A licensed 10 km trail race in Gisburn Forest on 1 August 2026, organised by Pendle Trail Running Club. Entries open in April with entry fees, a race medal, professional photography, chip timing and optional t shirts available.
