Trail Running calendar near Great Waltham 2026-2027

A timed Friday run on a 5.3 km out and back towpath loop along the River Thames. The event is promoted as a ten pound charity entry for Rays of Sunshine and includes a double sided finisher medal.

Dinosaur Dash at Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure on 7 August 2026 offers a junior 2.5K, a 5K for ages 11+, and a 100m Diddy Dash for under-6s, with chip timing, medals, trophies, onsite refreshments and first aid.

A 47 mile point to point ultramarathon along the Thames from Henley to Kingston, with three checkpoints offering food and drink, mandatory navigation kit and a required average pace to remain in the race.

A 12 hour multi terrain lap event at Riverside Park, St Neots, held alongside two triathlons as part of a festival. Entries are Solo, Pair or Teams of 3 to 6; awards, medals, family activities and camping are provided.

A 103 mile trail race along the North Downs Way from Farnham to Ashford on 8 August 2026. Runners cover about 11,000 ft of ascent with a 30 hour limit, 12 aid stations, mandatory kit and qualifying requirements.

Point to point trail ultraruns through the Stour Valley in Constable Country. The SVP100 covers about 102 km and a 50 km option follows part of the same route; finishers receive a medal, t-shirt and UTMB Index points.

A muddy trail running event at Bordon on Saturday 8 August featuring woodland, sand and technical single track. Options are a 5 km single lap or a 10 km two lap race with age minimums and a 75 minute first lap cut off for 10 km.

A summer 10k through country lanes around Mount Ephraim Gardens in Kent, with a separate junior run and downloadable route maps. The event raises funds for Oasis Domestic Abuse Services and includes a bespoke medal and garden entry.

Choose any number of laps on a scenic 5.3 km loop at Denbies Wine Estate to make distances from 5 km up to ultra. Timed event with a flexible 1.5 hour start window and support on a hilly off road course.

A riverside race series in Richmond along the Thames Path with 10 km, half marathon and marathon routes starting and finishing at Petersham & Ham Sea Scouts HQ. Check points are stocked and KLP Medics provide on-course medical support.

Mixed terrain 10k and half marathon around Wye with valley views and the historic chalk crown, based at Wye Village Hall with a small event village, toilets and refreshments.

Four hour team relay at Minley Manor, Hampshire where teams of four run repeated 4 km off road laps through woods and grassland. Male, female and mixed categories have prizes for the top three teams in each.

The Stopsley Trail Race on Sunday 9 August 2026 offers 5K, 5 miles and 10 miles on scenic undulating trails along the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire border. Entries include chip timing, bespoke medals, free photos and participant goodies.

Summer charity trail event in Cold Norton offering 10 km and half marathon routes on grass, tracks and paths. Aid stations are cupless so participants must bring a cup or bottle. Proceeds support Farleigh Hospice.

Race one of the AWT Backyard Ultra Series in Ruislip on 9 August 2026 uses six hourly 5 km laps for a total of 30 km. Entry is free and the event is held in person with free parking.

A 10 km beach race on the low tide sands of Worthing and Shoreham beaches on 13 August 2026, starting and finishing at Coast Cafe in Worthing. There is an aid station at 5 km, bag storage, toilets and a finishers medal.

A 7 hour timed running event on a looped course along the River Thames in Egham. Distances range from 3 km up to 50 km with aid stations, goody bags and distance pins available.

Two trail ultramarathon options follow the Harborough Round around Market Harborough, with GPX files, multiple aid stations, TRA licensing and a comprehensive mandatory kit list for runners.

A guided 10 km trail run through the Chiltern Hills followed by a brewery tour and tasting at Tring Brewery. Groups are split by ability and participants should be able to run 5 km without stopping.

Special-edition Rat Race obstacle event at Forest Facility near Stamford, featuring a 4 mile loop with about 60 obstacles, family and teen options, and additional on-site activities. Proceeds support Project Jungle rainforest conservation.
