Join the Saltergate Gallows fell race on Sun 15 Nov 2026 from Levisham Village Hall in the North York Moors. Tackle a rugged 10 mile course with 454 m of climb and enjoy entry on the day plus winter series camaraderie.

Tackle the sweeping slopes of Arnside Knott in the Dave Shinn Memorial Race, a testing 6 mile fell route with 333 m of climb. Enter on the day at Hollins Farm and enjoy cake, local camaraderie and stunning Lake District views.

A multi-terrain ultra around the Tweed Valley based at Glentress Peel Visitor Centre in mid-November. Two route options, 65 km and 50 km, follow forest trails, riverside paths and open moorland with marked routes and aid stations.

A 5 km fell race in Litton and Upper Wharfedale with about 362 m of climb on 21 November 2026, featuring a new course from 2024 and a programme of junior races from under 9 to under 17.

Experience a traditional fell race near Wythop Mill featuring a 5.9 km senior route and dedicated junior courses for all ages.

December 2026

Join the Really Wild Boar, a classic fell race in the York Dales on Saturday 5 December 2026. Tackle 9 km with 450 m of climb, enjoy hearty post race soup and a roll at the Fat Lamb Inn and soak up wild moorland views.

A winter ultra from Ingram Village Hall across the Cheviot hills of about 55 miles, organized by Cold Brew Events with GPS tracking and a 24 hour time limit. Licensed by the Trail Running Association.

A blindfolded navigation challenge in Kendal where participants are dropped miles from the event centre and must find their own way back using no maps or GPS. Options include 6, 10 and 15 mile drops and optional live tracking.

A 20 km fell race on Gisborough Moors in the North York Moors on Sun 6 Dec 2026, with 850 m of climb. Entry is available by pre-entry and on the day; teams are allowed and the race forms part of the North East Fell Running Champs.

Trail running event in Otley on 12 December 2026 offering 12, 19 and 32 mile routes with three checkpoints, mandatory kit and tracker provision for ultramarathon entrants. Entry minimum age 18 and a 100 person maximum field.

A festive 2.5 km or 5.0 km trail run along the River Wear near Durham Cathedral, with themed medals, a goody bag, aid stations and facilities at Durham Amateur Rowing Club.

Take on the Simonside Cairns fell race in Rothbury, Northumberland, a rugged 11 mile route over moorland and cairns that rewards grit and scenery. Entry on the day from Jubilee Hall is £10 and teams of three are welcome.

Take part in a flexible 7 hour time challenge along the scenic River Wear in Durham. Run as many trail laps as you choose to earn a themed medal, goody bag, and a seasonal bobble hat.

A night-time out and back fell race to Chapelfell Top (703 m) in Weardale. The unmarked, pathless route requires off-path navigation experience and strict mandatory kit; distance 6.6 km with 370 m ascent.

A winter mountain ultramarathon on Saturday 19 December 2026 around Helvellyn. The unmarked 38 mile route gains about 2000 m and requires navigation skills, self reliance and prior winter hill experience.

Run Fellrunner at Stoop at Penistone Hill near Haworth, an 8 km fell race with 250 m climb across the Pennine hills. Festive extras include a free Santa hat, Christmas prizes, a Curly Wurly for finishers and post race coffee.

A festive trail running event in Chopwell Woods near Gateshead with family one mile, 4 mile and 8 mile courses. Live chip timing, finisher medals and refreshments; one controlled dog per runner allowed.

Experience fast and furious junior fell racing through the old quarries of Penistone Hill. These short circuit races offer exciting scrambles for young runners from age six and up.
