A 5km and 10km run through Westonbirt Arboretum on 7 February 2027, with firm trail terrain and routes through areas showcasing over 2,500 tree species. The event is family friendly and tickets are currently sold out.

A 50 miles trail ultramarathon near Chester on 27 February 2027, covering 849 m of ascent with seven checkpoints and live GPS tracking. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and has a 17 hour cut off.

March 2027

Trail ultramarathon in the Black Mountains based in Crickhowell offering 10, 20 and 40 mile routes with marked courses and GPX files. Canicross friendly; mandatory kit and entry via SiEntries with set fees and age limits.

A moorland trail event around Saddleworth offering 26 km, 43 km and 62 km routes that visit reservoirs and rough moorland. Entry fees include refreshments, tracking, medical cover and a post event meal.

Trail races at Loggerheads Country Park in March 2027 offering 5k, 5k canicross and a new 10km route. Varied terrain, riverside paths and a staircase section add distinctive challenges.

A weekend trail running festival at Brynkinalt Estate offering 5k and 10k routes, canicross on Saturday and standard running on Sunday. Scenic estate routes, medals, prizes and a charity partner.

A women-only 6 km trail event at Big G’s Gym in Edgworth on 6 March 2027 with official timing, marshals and a GPX route file. All profits support PSPA and Scallywags Pre-school.

Trail races at Pitsford Water from Brixworth Country Park offering 10k and half marathon routes across country tracks and village lanes. Fully marshaled with water stations, a cupless policy, and medals for all finishers.

A night-time trail 10 km at Coombe Abbey Park, Coventry where a head torch is required and Petzl may offer demo lamps. The route runs through woodland and meadow with basic on-site facilities and parking.

Trail running at Harrold-Odell Country Park in Bedfordshire on 13 March 2027 with 25km and 50km options. Early bird and standard entry fees are published and the event is organised by Thunder Races.

A 32 mile ultra from Powis Estate in Welshpool to Caffi Wylfa in Chirk with two aid stations, varied terrain and finishers plates. The event includes parking options and an optional coach service from Chirk.

Two Crosses is an LDWA challenge event organised by the East Lancashire group, next scheduled for March 14th 2027. It is listed within the LDWA challenge event category which is normally for longer distance walks with time limits.

Two community trail races in Abbey Village on 14 March 2027: a scenic 9 km trail and a fully off-road 2.2 km junior run. Both courses are marshalled with first aid cover, refreshments, and proceeds supporting the local school PTA.

A self navigated 50 km trail loop from Hayfield on the Pennine Bridleway with 1840 m ascent, flexible start times and Ranger Ultras Safety Team support. GPX, on course refreshments and finishers eco medals are provided.

An 18 km spring trail run on the Pennine Bridleway from Hayfield to Rushup Edge with 806 m of ascent and a flexible start window. The route is self navigated with on course support and finishers receive eco medals.
