Event Overview

The Love Run is held within the grounds of Pengethley Manor in Ross-on-Wye. Participants have a 7-hour time limit to complete their chosen target distance on a course consisting of 2.5 km laps. The event is open to both runners and walkers and features an off-road terrain.

The route is noted as being tough, incorporating a hill that is tackled on every lap. The course also includes a series of ascents and descents through two vineyards. The event is not signed, meaning participants are responsible for remaining on the course.

Participation Options

Finishers can select from various entry types regarding rewards. Options include a full medal, two half medals designed to be shared with a partner, or a single half medal. Those participating in the virtual event for free via the event's Strava club do not receive a medal. Paid entries also receive a personalised virtual bib as a keepsake via email. A summer trail event on 20 June 2026 across the Malvern Hills offering 27 mile and 15 mile routes, checkpoint refreshments, a hot post event meal and certificates for finishers, organised by LDWA Heart Of England.

Mountain fell race in the Brecon Beacons covering 34 km with 1700 m ascent and eight summits. The anticlockwise route includes Fan y Big, has two checkpoint cutoffs at key points, and is open to runners over 18.

An evening fell race on Sugar Loaf from Llanwenarth, about 8.8 km with 350 m ascent. Chip timed and limited to 140 entries, age over 18, with snacks and a prize presentation at the pub afterward.

An annual trail race on 24 June 2026 near the Malvern Hills offering 10 km and a new 5 km route, undulating off-road terrain, finisher medals and prizes, on-course water for the 10 km and refreshments at race headquarters.
