Pitsford Water Trail Races

The event is scheduled for 1 March 2026 at Brixworth Country Park, Northampton Road, Brixworth NN6 9DG. It includes two trail race distances:

  • 10k
  • Half Marathon

Both races start and finish at Brixworth Country Park and the routes use trails and tracks around Pitsford Water. The half marathon route also passes through the villages of Holcot, Hannington, Walgrave, Old, and Scaldwell. Both courses are fully marked and marshaled. The half marathon route includes a number of stiles between fields.

Support and kit

Professional first aid will be available at the start and finish with access to runners on the course. Race volunteers will provide hydration at water stations: the half marathon has three water stations (approximately miles 3, 6.5 and 9.5) and the 10k has one water station (approximately mile 3). Water will also be available at the finish.

Trail shoes or shoes with grip are advisable. The event is cupless, so participants must bring their own cup. Mandatory kit includes a fully charged mobile phone and, for the half marathon, the numbers of the Race Director and Race Medic. Bone-conduction headphones are allowed; in-ear headphones are not permitted.

Entry fees are £25 for the 10k and £30 for the half marathon. Minimum ages on race day are 16 for the 10k and 17 for the half marathon. The race cut-off time is four hours for both distances.
