Pitsford Water Trail Races

The event offers fully marked and marshaled trail races over two distances:

• 10k: trails and tracks around Pitsford Water
• Half Marathon: route visiting local villages and trails

Both races start and finish at Brixworth Country Park and use footpaths around Pitsford Water. The half marathon route passes through the villages of Holcot, Hannington, Walgrave, Old, and Scaldwell and includes a number of stiles between fields. GPX files for each route are provided.

On-course support includes professional first aid at the start and finish with access to the course, Race Harborough volunteers, and hydration stations. The half marathon has water stations at miles 3 (Holcot), 6.5 (Walgrave) and 9.5 (Scaldwell). The 10k has a water station at mile 3 and water is available at the finish.

Practical details: entries are priced at £27 for the 10k and £32 for the half marathon. Minimum ages on race day are 16 for the 10k and 17 for the half marathon. The race cut off time is four hours and entries and transfers close seven days before the event.

Mandatory items include a fully charged mobile phone and a personal cup because the races are cupless. Trail shoes or shoes with grip are advisable; additional suggested kit includes a waterproof jacket, long sleeve base layer, hat and gloves. Dogs are not permitted on the routes.

There are prizes for the top three male and female finishers in each race and all finishers receive a race medal. Parking is available at Brixworth Country Park with fees; 40 free parking spaces are offered at Grange Lane and must be booked in advance. Race merchandise can be pre-ordered before the event and free digital race photos are provided after the event.
