Pitsford Water Trail Races are organised by Race Harborough and take place at Brixworth Country Park, Northampton Road, Brixworth NN6 9DG. The event includes two fully marked and marshaled trail races on the paths and tracks around Pitsford Water.

Both races use farmland footpaths and include waymarking. The half marathon route includes a number of stiles between fields.

Course, support and rules

Both races have a 4 hour cut off. Professional first aid is available at the start and finish with access to the course. Hydration is provided by Race Harborough volunteers: the half marathon has water stations at miles 3 (Holcot), 6.5 (Walgrave) and 9.5 (Scaldwell); the 10k has a water station at mile 3 (Holcot). Water is also available at the finish.

No in-ear headphones are permitted; bone-conduction headphones that do not sit in the ears are allowed. Running with dogs is not permitted. Trail shoes or shoes with grip are advisable. Mandatory items include a fully charged mobile phone and a personal cup, as races are cupless. Half marathon entrants should carry the race director and race medic contact numbers.

Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each race, and all finishers receive a race medal.

Entry and logistics

Entries are priced at £25 for the 10k and £30 for the half marathon. Minimum ages are 16 for the 10k and 17 for the half marathon. Entries and transfers close seven days before the event. Parking is available at Brixworth Country Park; parking fees apply. The event supports local foodbanks and offers an option to donate on entry.
