Irchy Park Canicross

Irchy Park Canicross takes place at Irchester Country Park on Sunday, 8th February 2026. The event is a 5k canicross around the country park. The course uses grass, dirt and hard-packed tracks through woodland and will be fully marked with arrow signs. The minimum age for competitors is 14 years and entries are priced at £20.

Registration and location

Registration opens from 8am on race morning and is based in the gazebo on the Little Meadow (opposite the play park). Timing numbers or chips will not be posted out before the event. The start location is alongside the top car park in the country park and will be signposted. Parking at Irchester Country Park is available for a charge of £3.50 for up to 12 hours. Competitors will receive a race pack by email in the week of the event.

On-course support, kit and awards

Professional first aid will be available at the start and finish with access to the course. Race Harborough volunteers will be on the course. Recommended kit includes trail shoes and a correctly fitting canicross harness. Trophies will be awarded to the first three male and female finishers, all finishers receive an event medal, and there will be treats for dogs at the finish. Free digital race photos will be available after the event.

Rules and charity
