Event Overview

The Irchy Park Canicross is a canicross event held at Irchester Country Park. The event consists of a single 5k route.

The Route

The route travels around Irchester Country Park. The course features a mix of grass, dirt, and hard-packed tracks through woodland. The route will be fully marked with arrow signs. Trail shoes are recommended.

Race Day Details

Registration opens from 8am on race morning in a gazebo on the Little Meadow. Parking is available at Irchester Country Park for a fee. Professional first aid will be present at the start and finish, with access available on the course. Race volunteers will also be on the course.

Participation & Rules

The event is designed for runners and their dogs. Experts will be on hand to offer advice. The minimum age for competitors is 14 years. A staggered start system is used for safety. Competitors are welcome to run with two dogs. Participants must use a correctly-fitting canicross harness.

Entry & Rewards

Entry is priced at £22. Trophies are awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers. All finishers receive an event medal. Special treats are provided for dogs at the finish.
