Irchy Park Canicross

Irchy Park Canicross is a 5k canicross event at Irchester Country Park on Sunday 7 February 2027. The course runs through woodland on a mix of grass, dirt and hard-packed tracks and will be fully marked with arrow signs.

Entries are open and priced at £22. The minimum competitor age is 14. Registration opens from 8am on race morning and will be based in the gazebo on the Little Meadow (opposite the play park). Race packs will be emailed to participants in the week of the event. Timing numbers or chips will not be posted out before the event.

The start will be alongside the top car park in the country park and will be clearly signposted. Parking is available at Irchester Country Park at a cost of £3.50 for up to 12 hours. The event will use a staggered start and allows competitors to run with up to two dogs.

On-course support includes professional first aid at the start and finish with access to runners on the course, plus Race Harborough volunteers. Trail shoes and a correctly fitting canicross harness are recommended.

Awards include trophies for the first three male and female finishers and an event medal for all finishers. Free digital race photos will be available. Three consecutive days of racing at Colworth Club add up to a full marathon through a 5 mile run, an 8.1 mile trail race and a half marathon. On site facilities include parking, refreshments and free camping with booking.

TrailFest at Salcey Forest on 28 June 2026 offers multiple distances from 10K to 50 km on mainly hard packed forest trails. The event uses cupless aid stations, has tiered entry fees, and mandatory cup rules for longer races.

Silsoe Stride on 28 June 2026 features scenic 5K and 10K races plus children’s runs at Wrest Park. The event is organised by village volunteers and community groups with profits shared among local beneficiaries.

A chip timed 10k at Burghley House on 30 June 2026, run over two laps on grass and paths around the estate. Open to ages 16 and over with a minimum fundraising target of £50.
