Irchy Park Canicross

Irchy Park Canicross takes place on Sunday, 7th February 2027 at Irchester Country Park. The event is a 5k canicross race held on a mix of grass, dirt and hard-packed tracks through woodland. The route will be fully marked with arrow signs.

Entries are open and priced at £22. The minimum age for competitors is 14. Registration is based in the gazebo on the Little Meadow opposite the play park, and a race pack will be emailed to participants in the week of the event. Timing numbers or chips are not posted in advance.

The race uses a staggered start to help protect the wellbeing of dogs and runners. Competitors may take part with up to two dogs. On-course support includes professional first aid at the start and finish with access to runners on the course, plus Race Harborough volunteers on the route.

Recommended kit includes trail shoes and a correctly fitting canicross harness. Prizes include trophies for the first three male and female finishers and a medal for all finishers; there will also be treats for dogs at the finish. Free digital race photos will be available after the event. Participants will be offered the opportunity to donate to Jubilee Foodbank, Market Harborough, and Weston Favell Centre Foodbank, Northampton. Additional canicross rules apply and will be provided by the organiser. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
