Trail Running calendar near Bampton Grange 2026-2027

Enjoy a flexible timed event along the scenic River Mersey at Chorlton Water Park. Choose your own distance from 5km up to an ultra marathon on this flat and fast riverside trail course.

A trail ultra based in Hawes that follows the Cam Road and the Yorkshire Three Peaks on classic limestone trails. Choose a 70 km route with 2185 metres ascent or extend by 30 km to complete 100 km with an extra 984 metres.

A 50 km trail ultra from Hawes Market House over Pen-y-Ghent on North Yorkshire limestone trails, with Ranger Ultras support, on-course provisions and navigation files provided. Entries limited to 50 and minimum age 20.

A flat, chip-timed canal race in Rodley, Leeds offering distances from 5K to ultramarathon with feed stations every 3 miles, GPX routes, bespoke medals and marshalled support.

A 50 km ultra from Wooler through the Cheviot Hills on 19 September 2026 using a digital GPS route with an 11 hour limit. Aid stations, medical cover, GPS tracker and a finisher medal are provided; entries are limited and age 18 plus.

A 63 miles coastal trail race along the Cleveland Way from Guisborough to Filey, with 18 hours to complete, mandatory kit checks, supplied trackers and manned checkpoints offering water and food at selected points.

A Backyard Ultra at West Shields Farm where runners complete a 4.1 mile loop on the hour until one remains. The route mixes farmland, single track and woodland with food stations, tracking and on-site medical cover.

A trail event around Grasmere in the Lake District offering five routes from 9 km to 52 km across rugged fells, technical descents and mountain summits. Outposts, mandatory safety kit and a plastic free policy are enforced.

Classic fell race in Kettlewell, Yorkshire Dales: 4 mile route with 475 m climb over rugged upland terrain. Open to 16+ with pre entry or entry on the day, teams welcome and free parking for entrants.

Teams of four combine two road legs and two fell legs around Uppermill on Saddleworth Moor. Entries run 28 January to 18 September 2026 via SiEntries and the entry fee is £20 per team.

A 15.6 km route with 870 m of ascent around Thornthwaite on 19 September 2026, visiting Lord’s Seat, Broom Fell, Brown How, Whinlatter and Seat How. Forest sections are marked and proceeds support Thornthwaite Church restoration.

A trail half marathon at Lakeland Maze Farm Park on Saturday 19th September 2026, finishing through the maze. Chip timing, aid stations, on-site parking and a cafe. Entry requires participants to be 18 or older and costs £35.

A 11.7 km Category BM fell race at Thropton Showfield in Coquetdale, held during the Thropton country show. Entry on the day only with modest fees, teams of three allowed, and proceeds support Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue.

Trail runs at Raby Castle offer 5 km, 10 km and half marathon routes through parkland with woodland and lakes, live chip timing, on-site parking and finisher medals.

A 13.1 miles trail race through Bronte Country near Haworth, organised in support of Sue Ryder, with a hilly one lap course, limited entries, and a pie and peas meal plus a race memento for finishers.

A weekend running event in Knaresborough on 20 September 2026 offering 10K and Half Marathon routes through scenic Yorkshire countryside. Finishers receive a jumble medal and hot food, with entry available online or on the day.

Trail 10K and Half Marathon through Hamsterley Forest on 20 September 2026, with undulating, well marked routes among pines and clearings. Chip timing, a themed medal, free photos and a serviced event village are provided.

Locomotion Trail Runs in Eaglescliffe on 20 September 2026 offers 10- and 5-mile routes partly along the original S&DR railway, with proceeds to the Great North Air Ambulance and MND and medals for all finishers.

A multi-distance trail event in the Lake District National Park, 25 to 27 September 2026, linking the region's 13 valleys with races from 22.4 km to 184.3 km, ITRA points and Western States qualifiers, plus children's Future Valleys races.

A waterside trail event in Yorkshire on 26 September 2026 with routes past seven reservoirs and three distances from 13 to 32 miles. Trackers are provided or available to hire and finishers receive a medal and an event T shirt.
