Punk Panther Harrogate Hustle (7 February 2026)

Punk Panther Harrogate Hustle is an off-road race held around Harrogate and Knaresborough. The route encircles the spa town at a radius of about 3-4 miles, follows mostly country paths and passes through Nidd Gorge. The longest course also follows the Knaresborough Round for part of the route. The event is limited to a maximum of 200 entrants.

Race details

  • Distances: 14 miles, 20 miles, 34 miles
  • Climb: 809 ft, 2105 ft, 2345 ft (listed for the three distances)

Checkpoints are staffed and provide water, coke, energy bars and crisps, plus a box of vegan and gluten free snacks. All ultramarathon entrants receive a tracker; runners in the shorter trail races can hire a tracker for a fee. Trackers are monitored during the event and include an emergency button that ends the race if pressed.

Registration takes place at Pannal Village Hall and final competitor instructions and the definitive GPX route file are emailed to entrants before the event. The organisers will tape, flag and sign routes before race day but advise competitors not to rely solely on tape for navigation. A kit list applies to all distances; required items include a waterproof jacket, suitable bag, fluids, cup, survival/bivvy bag, whistle, mobile phone, tracker for the ultramarathon, hat, gloves, personal first aid kit and a hard copy of the map or route description. Every finisher receives a medal and an event T-shirt (unless they opt out). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
