Hardmoors 26.2: Saltburn takes place on Sunday 1 February 2026 at Saltburn Learning Campus, Marske Mill Lane, Saltburn TS12 1HJ. The event comprises three circular trail races with the following distances:

  • 28 miles (Trail Marathon)
  • 14.5 miles (Half Marathon)
  • 7.5 miles (Trail 10k)

Ascent for the courses is listed as 4000 ft for the longest race, 2200 ft for the half, and 1030 ft for the 10k. Entries open in April 2025 and close on 9 January 2026. Entry fees start from £28, with specific prices for each race and an optional t-shirt for £10. The published entry limit is 350.

Logistics and rules

Courses are not taped or signed; competitors must carry printed route descriptions and maps. Downloadable route maps, route descriptions and GPX files are provided. Mandatory kit must be carried for the duration of each race and includes a waterproof jacket with taped seams, hat, gloves, survival bag, foil blanket, spare long-sleeved base layer, safety pins/race belt and a route map. A headtorch is mandatory for the marathon and 500 ml of water or sports drink must be carried for the marathon. Time limits are 9 hours for the marathon, 5 hours for the half and 3 hours for the 10k. The event is cupless so runners should bring their own cup. Dogs are not allowed. Medals are provided and a t-shirt is available to purchase. Join the Rise From The Ashes Run, a 7 hour timed trail along the River Wear with stunning Cathedral views, offering distances from a short 3 km up to marathon and ultra options. Finishers get a themed medal and goody bag with vegan choices.
