Hardmoors 26.2: Saltburn takes place on Sunday 1 February 2026 from Saltburn Learning Campus, Marske Mill Lane, Saltburn TS12 1HJ. The event comprises circular trail courses offered at three distances:

  • Marathon
  • Half Marathon
  • Trail 10k

Courses are not taped or signed. Competitors are provided with downloadable route descriptions, maps and GPX files which they must print and carry. Navigation is the responsibility of each participant. The event is cupless; runners should bring a personal cup for checkpoint drinks and for a hot drink at the finish.

There is a mandatory kit list that must be carried for the duration of the event. Required items include a waterproof jacket with taped seams, hat, gloves, survival bag or foil blanket, a spare long sleeved base layer, safety pins or race belt for bib attachment, and a printed route description or map. A headtorch is mandatory for the marathon and 500 ml of water or sports drink must be carried for the marathon. Failure to carry compulsory kit may result in disqualification.

Time limits apply: 9 hours for the marathon, 5 hours for the half marathon, and 3 hours for the 10k. Prize categories include overall places and veteran age group awards. The race is currently full and entries are closed with no waiting list. Participants receive a medal and may order an event t shirt for an additional fee.
