Trail Running Calendar East Midlands (England) 2026-2027

Northampton hosts 5 km, 10 km and junior races on Sunday 23 May 2027 at Sixfields Stadium. The start and finish are inside the stadium and the course continues on closed roads around Northampton.

Multi distance trail event at Grimsthorpe Castle Estate featuring a 10 mile loop, marked course, medics, on site camping and options from 10 to 100 miles including a team relay.

A 24-hour trail challenge in Edale where runners complete as many 23.3 km loops (977 m ascent each) as possible. Entries limited to 50 with indoor transition, camping and a single log-cabin option; support, navigation notes and an eco-troph..

On 5 June 2027 at Bakewell Showground runners choose from five trail distances from 6 km to 55 km across varied moorland, gritstone edges and valley paths. Outposts offer snacks and drink and the course is fully marked and timed.

Derby Pretty Muddy 5k is an obstacle course at Markeaton Park with climbing, crawling and sliding across mixed terrain. It is for participants aged 13 and over and includes a fundraising element, a kit pack and a finisher medal.

A fully supported 100 mile trail ultra around the Leicestershire Round with solo and four person relay options, nine stocked checkpoints and UTMB Index recognition.

An untimed inflatable obstacle run in Lincoln on 12 June 2027 with 2.5 km, 5 km, 10 km and 15 km options, five music zones and a finisher's medal for every participant. Family rules and on-site facilities are provided.

A continuous 108 mile Mountain Rescue Team race along the Pennine Way for active MRT members, running from Edale to Hardraw with a 60 hour time limit and significant ascent across upland terrain.

Obstacle course weekend at Belvoir Castle offering Sprint, Super, Beast and Kids races, with a Trifecta option across three days.

A muddy 5k obstacle course at Holme Pierrepont with climbs, crawls and slides across paths, grass and woodland. Waves start every 15 minutes, participants must be 13 or older and a minimum fundraising target of £50 applies.

A muddy 5k obstacle course at The Rutland Showground in Oakham with staggered start waves and an age limit of 13 and over. Entry includes a fundraising pack, back sign, training support and a finishers medal.

A trail Half Marathon and 10k at Carsington Water in Derbyshire on 26 June 2027, featuring waterside and countryside routes. Entries include chip timing, photos and a themed medal, with marked trails, marshals and a GPX route file.

A 24 hour obstacle course at Belvoir Castle on June 26 to 27, 2027, offering individual and 4 person team relay entries, pit crew spectator access, a post event brunch, on course obstacles, and adaptive athlete support.

Multi-distance trail event from a Bakewell basecamp with camping, regular marquee rest stops, GPS tracking and medical support across looped Peak District routes.

The Race for Life Pretty Muddy Northampton will take place in Northampton on Saturday 10 July 2027. You can run 5 kilometers.
