A 21 mile running and walking challenge through the Peak District held each March. Entries usually open in November and often sell out, with places sometimes freed by cancellations. The 2027 event marks the 30th anniversary.

A 50 km, one day trail run around Hayfield using the Pennine Bridleway, Pennine Way and Limestone Way, with a flexible start, self-navigation, GPX support and Ranger Ultras safety presence. Total ascent 1840 metres.

The Pennine Bridleway PB18km Trail Run covers 18 km from Hayfield to Rushup Edge and back with 806 m of ascent. It uses waymarked paths, offers flexible starts and on course support, and is self navigated under TRA and England Athletics rul..

Peak Rail 7 pits runners against a steam hauled heritage train on the route from Rowsley South to Matlock Riverside and back. The course uses shared trails with marshals, on site parking, and post race photos and results published online.

April 2027

Weekend trail races on the Monsal Trail in the Peak District offering a half marathon and a 10K on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 April 2027, using a traffic free multi terrain route that passes through four tunnels and over Monsal viaduct.

A 54 mile circular ultra and a 26.2 mile marathon from Brixworth Country Park through Northamptonshire trails, canal towpath and roads, with checkpoints, GeoTracks real time tracking and an over 18 age limit.

A 26.2 mile section of the Rose of the Shires Ultra, the Rosebud Marathon runs across Northamptonshire trails, roads and canal towpath with two staffed checkpoints and GPS tracking provided.

A spring trail event at Carsington Water in Derbyshire on 10 April 2027 offering Half Marathon and 10k routes around the reservoir. Routes are marked and GPX is provided; entries include a themed medal and chip-timed results.

An out and back ultra on the traffic free Brampton Valley Way that pairs Market Harborough and Northampton in a county competition, covering 45 km with timing mats at both ends, aid stations, tunnels and a seven hour cut off.

A Peak District fell race on 14 April 2027 covering 4.8 km with 340 m of ascent. Pre-entry and on-the-day entry are available and juniors aged 14 and over run in the main race.

The Inflatable 5K at Donington Park on 17 April 2027 is a lap-based inflatable obstacle run with giant slides, tunnels and five music zones. Distances range from 2.5 km to 15 km and include hydration, medical cover and a finisher medal.

A scenic 10k trail race through the Nene Valley on Sunday 18 April 2027, starting and finishing at KC Active in Kings Cliffe. Entry is via SiEntries with a £22 fee and a minimum age of 16.

A trail running event at Elvaston Castle Country Park with three measured off-road distances, riverside and woodland routes, marked course, aid stations and chip timing.

May 2027

A two day trail running festival at Deene Park Estate near Corby with three standalone challenges and a combined 56.1 km Quest, varied terrain, medals for finishers and festival activities.

A multi-terrain running event around Naseby Village Hall in Northamptonshire offering multiple distances from 10K to a 35 mile ultra. Routes change direction each year and include roads, trails, and local historic landmarks.

A 50k ultra through Nottinghamshire villages that uses footpaths, bridleways, tracks and minor roads. The route starts and finishes at Milestone Brewery, includes checkpoints every 6 to 8 miles and post-race food and tap room access.

A Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course at Braunstone Park on 15 May 2027 combining grass and path with climbs, crawls and slides. Waves start every 15 minutes, participants must be 13 or older and there is a minimum fundraising target of £50.

A last-person-standing backyard ultra in the Lincolnshire Wolds: runners repeat a 4.167 mile off-road loop each hour with a bell, continuing until one runner completes a solo lap. Entry is limited to 100 competitors.

June 2027

A 24-hour trail challenge in Edale where runners complete as many 23.3 km loops (977 m ascent each) as possible. Entries limited to 50 with indoor transition, camping and a single log-cabin option; support, navigation notes and an eco-troph..

Five trail routes from Bakewell Showground through the Peak District, from 6 km to 55 km, across varied moorland and woodland with marked courses, fuel outposts, timing, free parking, and GPS tracking on the 50k.
