Derby Pretty Muddy 5k

Derby Pretty Muddy is a 5k obstacle course event held at Markeaton Park in Derby, DE22 4AA. The course starts and finishes on the grass field in the centre of the park and runs across a mixture of terrains. The route includes climbing, crawling and sliding obstacles and features muddy sections.

The course is described as suitable for participants who wish to walk, jog or run. Event waves start every 15 minutes to manage numbers on the course. Participants must be 13 years of age or older at the time of the event. Marshals are available on course and obstacles may be skipped if needed.

Practical details note a meeting point on the large grass field near the Café and Tennis courts. Car parking is available at the Mundy Play Centre car park and the University of Derby Kedleston Road car park with a roughly 10 minute walk to the event site; spaces are limited. Blue Badge parking is available on hardstanding surfaces about 500 m from the event site. There are no cycle racks and no electric vehicle charging points at the event.

Available facilities include refreshments, toilets and parking. The event is not wheelchair accessible, is not suitable for pushchairs and dogs are not allowed. Registered participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a Race for Life medal.
