Derby Pretty Muddy 5 km : Markeaton Park

Derby Pretty Muddy is a 5 km obstacle event at Markeaton Park in Derby. The course starts and finishes on the large grass field in the centre of the park, a short walk from the café and tennis courts. The route uses a mixture of terrains and includes obstacles that require climbing, crawling and sliding. Participants may walk, jog or run and complete the course at their own pace.

Event starts are organised in staggered waves every 15 minutes to manage safety on the course. To take part, participants must be at least 13 years old. There are separate Pretty Muddy Kids events for younger children aged 12 and under.

Practical details include on-site refreshments, toilets and event parking. Event parking is available at the Mundy Play Centre car park and at the University of Derby Kedleston Road car park; both are about a 10 minute walk from the main event site. Blue badge parking is available at Markeaton Park car park and at the Mundy Play Centre car park. There are no bike racks and no on-site electric vehicle charging points; the nearest charging point is at The Markeaton, Kedleston Road, Derby, DE22 2TF.

The event is not suitable for wheelchair users due to the nature of the course. Sunflower wristbands, trained Event Managers and a BSL stage QR code are available to support accessibility needs. The published entry fees are £22.49 for adults and £12.00 for children, with a minimum fundraising target of £50.00.
