Trail Running Calendar East Midlands (England) 2026-2027

Run a scenic 13 mile half marathon along the traffic free Tissington Trail from Parsley Hay to Ashbourne. Choose one or both days of this friendly two day event with bespoke medals, free photos and a gently downhill, multi terrain route.

Run the Clipston Trail Races at Clipston Recreation Ground, choosing a scenic half marathon or Country 5 Miler across rolling bridleways and footpaths. Proceeds support local facilities and finishers earn a medal and homemade cake.

Join the Hoby Hop Trail Race 10th anniversary for a chip timed five mile cross country or Canicross through the scenic Upper Wreake valley. Undulating fields, stiles and brook crossings with village hall race HQ for entries and facilities.

A traditional cross country race in Thorpe, Derbyshire covering 4 3/4 mile across field paths and valleys with a river crossing at the Stepping Stones. A separate 1 1/4 mile Mini Dash is held for U12 and U9 children.

Tideswell Terminator is a Peak District fell race on 10 October 2026, covering 9.1 km with 283 m of climb across scenic hills. Pre entry only, age 18 plus, this short course is a bracing test for fell runners.

Join the 20th Andrew Heywood Memorial Windgather on 11 Oct 2026 in the Peak District, a 21.7 km trail with 762 m ascent starting at the Burbage Institute, Buxton. Pre entry is advised and pre entries receive a commemorative memento.

Scenic, undulating trail runs around Carsington Water with half marathon and 10k options on 17 October 2026. Entries include a themed medal, water and post race refreshments, with marshals and kilometre markers to guide you.

A 31 mile figure of eight trail run from Ashover Village Hall with a 20 mile northern loop option. The route is largely unmarked, GPX files and checkpoints are provided, and there is a nine hour time limit.

Tackle the Monsal Mash in the Peak District, a challenging 9.5 km fell race with 500 m of climb over technical and fast rough terrain. Advance entry and full kit required, teams of three welcome.

Take on Linacre Infini, a six hour timed trail race around three scenic reservoirs near Chesterfield, with 4.6 km laps on marked wooded trails and some short climbs. Earn a medal for completing at least one lap and push for as many laps as..

A 31 mile trail through Amber Valley with a 20 mile northern loop option, both based at Ashover Village Hall. Routes are largely unmarked but GPX files, checkpoints and medic cover are provided; Amberaid has a 9 hour time limit.

Tunnel Vision is a 5 mile out and back that sends runners through the atmospheric Oxendon Tunnel with mood lighting. Pick a Night or Dawn run, earn interlocking medals and support local foodbanks.

Join Leg It Round Lathkil on 8 November 2026 for a scenic 11.5 km fell race in the Peak District with 290 m of climb from Lathkil Hotel near Bakewell. Entry on the day and all proceeds go to Children in Need; wash shoes for biosecurity.

Join the Padfield Plum Fair Scamper on Sun 22 Nov 2026 for an 8.8 km fell race around Padfield in the Peak District, featuring 320 m of climb and stunning views. Open to runners aged 16+, with pre and on the day entries and limited parking.

Join the Sherwood Christmas 10k, 5k or Junior Run on 22 November 2026 at Sherwood Pines for festive multi terrain forest trails, medals, photos and prizes including best dressed Santa. Proceeds support Shelter.

Tackle the Baslow Bolt, a scenic yet testing 13 km Peak District fell race with 400 m of climb. On 28 Nov 2026 at St Anne's Church, this community fundraiser finishes with cake and refreshments.
