The event takes place at Thoresby Park, Newark, NG22 9EP. Routes run through the estate, which covers over 1,000 acres and includes a 17th-century mansion and wildlife such as wild deer and long-horned cattle. The terrain on the estate is described as fairly flat. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. All finishers receive Wild Deer merchandise, an event medal, and a snack. Distances, entry and on-course rules

  • Family 2km - suitable for ages 5+ (no canicross)
  • 5km - suitable for ages 11+
  • 10km - suitable for ages 15+
  • Half Marathon - suitable for ages 17+

Route maps are published for the 5km, 10km and half marathon; the 2km route is to be confirmed. The event is canicross friendly for distances other than the 2km; runners may run with up to two controlled dogs and canicross participants have a separate start. Nordic walkers may join any trail distance. Entry fees and ticket types vary; listed offers range from £12 to £30. Join the Totley Two Turtle Doves fell race in the Peak District on Fri 26 Dec 2025 for a bracing 7.8 km route with 250 m climb. Open to 18 plus with showers at Totley AC and mandatory FRA kit for winter conditions.
