The Thoresby Park Longhorn Trail takes place at Thoresby Park, Newark (NG22 9EP) on 18 April 2027. The estate covers over 1,000 acres and includes a 17th-century mansion, an art collection, and wildlife such as wild deer and long-horned cattle. Trail distances range from 2km to a full marathon, with specific options listed below.
- Family 2km - suitable for ages 5+ (no canicross)
- 5km - suitable for ages 11+
- 10km - suitable for ages 15+
- Half Marathon - suitable for ages 17+
- Marathon - suitable for ages 21+
The estate is described as fairly flat, and the 5km and 10km routes are noted as appropriate for first-time trail runners or those stepping up from Parkrun. Cani-cross is allowed on all distances except the Family 2km; runners may take up to one dog on a lead or harness and canicross participants have separate starts.
