Sherwood Pines Festive Trail Runs
Wild Deer Events stages a series of festive trail races at Sherwood Pines, Kings Clipstone, Edwinstowe, Mansfield NG21 9JL. The site is set within extensive Nottinghamshire woodland and includes trails, play areas and bike hire. What3words location is ///universal.tadpole.daunted.
Distances offered include:
- Family 1 Mile open to children aged 3 to 14, accompanying adult runs free
- 5 km Trail Run suitable for ages 11 and above, canicross friendly
- 10 km Trail Run suitable for ages 15 and above, canicross friendly
Canicross rules allow one well-controlled dog per runner in the 5 km and 10 km events. Festive Sprint and Standard duathlons are also listed as available.
Route maps are provided for each distance. Live chip timing is used and race results are produced by a timing provider. Finishers of the 5 km and 10 km events receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, mince pies, chocolates and drinks. Family 1 Mile finishers receive an event medal, a drink and a selection box.
An exclusive event T-shirt is offered as an optional extra for £14 during registration. Subsidised on-site car parking is available and payment is made after the event at Forestry England pay machines. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
