Sherwood Pines Festive Trail Runs : December 2026

Wild Deer Events stages a series of festive trail races at Sherwood Pines, Kings Clipstone, Edwinstowe, Mansfield NG21 9JL, around 20 minutes from the A1 and M1. The site sits within 3,300 acres of Nottinghamshire woodland and includes activity trails, play areas, bike hire, wild running and mountain biking trails.

Distances and events are offered across several options:

  • Family 1 Mile Run: children aged 3–14; accompanying adult free; not canicross friendly
  • 5 km Trail Run: suitable for ages 11+; canicross friendly
  • 10 km Trail Run: suitable for ages 15+; canicross friendly
  • Festive Sprint and Standard Duathlons available

One well-controlled dog per runner is allowed in the 5 km and 10 km events. Route maps are provided for the 10 km, 5 km and 1 mile routes. Live chip-timing is provided by Timing Up North.

Finish-line items for 5 km and 10 km finishers include an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, mince pies and chocolates, and drinks. Family 1 Mile finishers receive an event medal, a drink and a selection box. An exclusive event T-shirt is available for £14.
