Ranger Ultras Loop The Loop

Ranger Ultras Loop The Loop is a 24 hour individual distance challenge held at the Peak Centre in Edale, Peak District on Saturday 5 to Sunday 6 June 2027. Participants aim to complete as many laps as possible of a fixed scenic trail loop within a 24 hour period. Each loop is 21.7 km (13.5 miles) with about 930 m of ascent per loop. The first lap is run clockwise and subsequent laps may be clockwise, anticlockwise or a mix.

There are no intermediate cut offs for individual loops; only completed loops within the 24 hour period count. Competitors self-manage transitions using their own kit and the race facilities. Navigation notes and a GPX file are provided. On course water is available at a checkpoint and Ranger Safety Team support operates both at HQ and on the course. All finishers receive a hand made eco-trophy showing the number of loops completed.

Accommodation and transition options are offered with limited places: hostel bed and indoor transition space, camping in own single person tent on site, and one log cabin pod suitable for up to two people. Meals, snacks and hot and cold drinks are provided at HQ over the weekend. Minimum age is 20 on the event date. There is no participant parking at the Peak Centre; public parking is in Edale village and Edale station is around 200 metres from the centre. A voluntary charitable contribution to support the Peak Centre is suggested. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
