Rutland Pretty Muddy 5k

The Rutland Pretty Muddy 5k is an obstacle event taking place at The Rutland Showground in Oakham on Saturday 20 June 2026. The course is a roughly 5 kilometre loop across grass within the showground, with the start and finish on the same grassy section near the rugby club and visible from the on-site car park. Terrain may be uneven and can become soft and muddy in bad weather.

Participants climb, crawl and slide around a series of obstacles. Start times are staggered in waves every 15 minutes; groups should register for the same wave. Marshals are present on course and participants may skip obstacles if needed. To take part, people must be 13 years of age or older; a separate Pretty Muddy Kids programme exists for younger children.

Entry fees listed are £22.49 for adults and £12.00 for children, with a minimum fundraising target of £50. Registered participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support materials, community access and a Race for Life medal on completion.

Facilities on site include refreshments, toilets and parking on grass. Blue badge parking and drop-off areas are managed by stewards. There are no electric vehicle charging points or cycle racks. The event is not suitable for wheelchair users; sunflower wristbands, BSL stage content via QR code and trained event staff are available to support accessibility needs.
