Race The Train 2026 in Tywyn, Mid-Wales on 15 August 2026 offers multiple running distances from a 14 mile challenge to a Toddlers Trot, with specified age categories and entry fees; entries close 10 August 2026.

A 7.5 km fell race at Cwrt-y-Cadno Show fields with 264 m of climb. Entry to the show covers the £5 fee; the course is partially marked and open to those over 16.

Ribble Runfest is a looped 10K to ultra event around Avenham Park and Upper Farm nature reserve in Preston, held on hard paths with on-course refreshments and bespoke medals for finishers.

A 10 mile trail race through Radnor forest in Mid Wales on 23 August 2026, held in aid of the Special Care Baby Unit in Hereford. The route reaches Black Mixen at 2130 ft and includes forestry roads, moorland and tree covered single track.

A non stop 130 mile canal towpath race from Liverpool to Leeds run under UK Athletics rules. Open to runners aged 20 and over, the event has a 40 hour limit and a limited number of unsupported entries with regular feed points.

A fell race in North Pembrokeshire on Sat 29 Aug 2026 covering 8 km with 330 m of climb. Entries are accepted in advance and on the day, and junior Mochyn du races have entry on the day only.

A marked fell race in South Wales on 30 Aug 2026, covering 11.5 km with 350 m ascent. Pre-entry and day entry are available; junior races have on-the-day entry. Post-race tea and cake are provided, bring a mug.

A hill race near Porthmadog covering 7.2 km with 564 m of ascent, partially marked and requiring navigational skills and experience. Entry is day only for £5 and teams may enter free.

A 7.4 km mountain race near Cilcain with 375 m of ascent held alongside the village show. WFRA insured, with separate junior races across multiple age groups and specific junior distances.

September 2026

Experience an endurance challenge along the coast with solo and relay options ranging from 50 to 130 miles. This multi day event features strictly timed checkpoints and self navigation in a stunning natural environment.

A multi-terrain off-road race of about 4 miles in Shotton on 4 September 2026, with pre-entry fees (£10, £8 affiliated), prize categories by age, a minimum age of 17, and a 200-person entry limit.

Experience a 102 mile self navigation mountain race through Snowdonia Eryri National Park. This event features 5172 m of elevation and 11 supported checkpoints for qualified ultramarathon runners.

A 45 mile mountain ultramarathon in Snowdonia Eryri on 5 September 2026 with 2800 m ascent and a 20 hour cut off. Entry requires previous ultra and mountain experience and mandatory navigation kit.

Trail running in the Shropshire Hills with Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K options on a single lap route through National Trust land, starting and finishing at Carding Mill Valley near Church Stretton.

Experience an all-terrain run from Barmouth beach to the summit of Cadair Idris. Choose from three distances featuring coastal views and mountain trails with full marshal support and chip-timed results.

A long-distance walking and running event crossing Wales over a 45 mile linear route to be completed within 18 hours, presented as a weekend package with accommodation, coach transport, refreshment stops and route maps.

The Cheshire 100 Ultra Run follows the Cheshire Canal Ring from Northwich and is organised by New Era Community Boxing. Entry is open to those over 20, with route guidance, checkpoints, support options and a 36 hour time limit.
