Trail Running calendar near Machynlleth 2026-2027

Experience an 8 km trail race at Wirral Country Park as part of a summer competition series. Open to runners aged 16 and over, the event features age group trophies and series awards.

A midweek fell race at Tal y Mignedd Campsite in Nantlle Valley featuring a 6.7 km route with 520 m of ascent. The event is part of the North Wales Mid Week Series and includes junior races across multiple age categories.

A 200 mile circular ultra from Machynlleth across Mid Wales with a 120 hour limit and about 30,187 feet of ascent. The course uses Glyndwr's Way and Offa's Dyke and offers 10 aid stations, live tracking and a drop-bag service.

A 51 mile mountain and trail race in Southern Snowdonia with 2898m of ascent, visiting Cadair Idris, Rhinog Fach and the Barmouth estuary. The event has 500 places, six checkpoints, mandatory kit and a 20 hour cut off.

Abergwyngregyn is a 7.2 km fell race near Bangor with 391 m of climb. It is the final event in the North Wales Mid Week Series and is insured by the WFRA.

An evening orienteering event at Brereton Heath near Holmes Chapel offering colour coded courses from White to Blue to match a range of navigational skills. Pre entry is via RaceSignUp and parking is metered at the Visitor Centre.
