Trail Running calendar near Palnure 2025-2026

SkyRun the Mournes by APEX Running invites mountain runners to tackle three skyraces across the dramatic Mourne Mountains on 10 October 2026. Choose from a 50km ultra, 35km skyline or 20km trail with serious elevation and stunning views.

Tackle the classic Langdale Horseshoe fell race on Sat 10 Oct 2026 in Great Langdale, Lake District. Covering 21 km with about 1450 m of ascent, this tough but scenic race rewards strong hill skills and pre entry is required.

The James Coulson Laxey Fell will take place in Laxey on Saturday 24 October 2026. You can run 13 kilometers.

Take on the classic Buttermere fell race on 25 October 2026 at Gatesgarth Farm, a tough 5 km senior route with 600 m of climbing plus short junior races. Enjoy a traditional shepherds meet atmosphere, entry on the day and a warm drink.

Run the scenic Derwentwater 10, a 10 miles clockwise loop around Derwent Water near Keswick on 1 Nov 2026. Enjoy an undulating tarmac course with midrace drinks and race day facilities including changing and showers.

Tackle a scenic but testing fell race in Dunnerdale, Lake District: 8 km with a 550 m climb over rugged hills. Pre entry only, join solo or as a three person team for a classic Broughton Mills Village Hall start.

The Narradale Fell Race will take place in Sulby on Saturday 7 November 2026. You can run 20 kilometers.

Tackle Kirkby Moor's classic BM fell race on Sat 28 Nov 2026, a 10.5 km route with 490 m of climb across stunning Lake District terrain. Entry on the day from Kirkby Community Centre, with team entries and season trophies at stake.

Challenge yourself at the Crag Fell Handicap, a club run fell race in the Lake District featuring a short but steep 4 km course with 410 m of climb. Entry is by pre entry only and the handicap format makes for a lively, competitive start.

The Snaefell and the Tholtans will take place in Snaefell on Saturday 5 December 2026. You can run 13 kilometers.
